Bladder cancer forum?
Hi, folks - I frequented this great forum several years ago during my father's treatment for metastasized prostate cancer. Now my husband has been diagnosed with Stage 2 bladder cancer which originated in the bladder, and I can't find a forum for that. I do see mentions of bladder cancer here. Am

If ADT helps tame all Prostate tumours , why is Chemo given as soon as some organ met detected ?
Just trying to educate myself. I have read posts that when any organ met like bladder or lung etc are detected , chemo is immediately begun. Would the hormone therapy not shrink those too just like it does in bones ?

Salvage treatment for radiorecurrent PCa
If I’m lucky I’ll soon be facing a decision as to which salvage treatment to have for radiorecurreent PCa. By lucky I mean that if upcoming tests show no spread outside of the prostate and I’m a candidate for salvage treatment. The salvage treatments I’m considering are SBRT, Brachytherapy and Cryotherapy

Immunotherapy before/after or concurrent with Chemotherapy
Hii all , My father is failing ADT and next step is to start chemotherapy . I have discussed the case with APAC Biotech Gurugram regarding Immunotherapy . They have suggested to do it before chemotherapy as the tumor cells will shrink during chemo treatment and they will not be able to get good quality

Persistent trace/low level protein in urine
Hi all I've had persistent trace or low level amounts of protein in urine tests since April -checked on 5 occasions at hospital. Sometimes there is also trace amounts of blood or white cells too. Is this something to worry about or just part of the disease? I get cystitis a lot, but doesn't necessarily

Cimetidine
Hi, my doctor prescribed Cimetidine for my painful bladder, I have the impression that it exacerbates restless leg syndrome. I'd like to know your opinion before taking this medication. Thanks in advance.

heading for salvage therapy
hello all. Well my last two ( three month) PSA tests were 0.10 and MO. And RO. Recommend somewhat early salvage radiation treatment. A question I would like some input on is should I look into proton therapy over IMRT. I would need to travel to Fred hutch or Salt Lake City as I live in Reno Nv. Just

When did you feel some hope you might pull out of this and not die next week?
New diagnosis. What i thought was back pain just turned out to be Advanced Metastatic PROSTATE Cancer on a CT Scan with contrast and PSA of 56. I've been blessed with excellent health til now. This is all scary NEW to me and my wife, we are in shock. Oncologist/Urologist ordered a ultrasound guided

In vivo/vitro latest immunotherapy proof of concept by targeting IL30 in prostate cancer
Meanwhile in Italy, a group of researchers....this study discusses the development of immunoliposome-based CRISPR/Cas9 delivery targeting IL30 in prostate cancer. In vivo and in vitro it showed great results in inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis formation. Alteration of tumor environment (reduced

after being fast tracked ABD-147 was designed orphan drug for the Treatment of Neuroendocrine Carcinoma (prostate included)
DLL3 is expressed by neuroendocrine cancers, including prostate cancer! They plan to start a phase 1 trial by the end of 2024 (on lung cancer, but it’s worth to keep an eye on it). “ABD-147 is a next-generation precision radiopharmaceutical biologic therapy designed to deliver Actinium-225 (225Ac)

Delivery delivery! Bone targeted nano-drug and nano-delivery (in vivo/vitro)
Because one of the worst enemies is not the prostate cancer itself, but the metastasis, especially to the bones! Nanotechnologies seem to be on their way for precision payload delivery to our bones! https://www.nature.com/articles/s41413-024-00356-2

Best Place to Get Solid or Liquid Tumor Genetic Testing for Prostate Cancer
I saw the post with this heading but it’s 7 years old. I’d ideally like testing done on my husbands prostate after it’s removed. his 23& me test years ago says he does not have either of the BRCA genes, but there are many more I’m sorry if this has been already handled.

To radiate or not to radiate?
My metastatic prostate diagnosis was established three years ago by biopsy (Gleason 9) and PMSA that showed "innumerable osseous lesions" throughout my skeleton. I was started on ADT and initially responded well. However, my PSA has now risen to 0.7. So my oncologist ordered a repeat PET/PMSA that
