I downloaded my Medtronic monitor which I’ve had for about a month. The hospital phoned and said everything was fine which is good except that I know I’ve been having palpitations would the monitor not pick this up . Iam having a ct angiogram next week and Iam on 1.25 Bisoprolol.
Thanks

My doctor "Titrated" my Bisoprolol from 1.25 to 5.0 mg, and I do believe it could have gone higher. Thus firstly I would ask your doctor if you could go to 2.5 mg.
Despite researching their site MedTronic, I couldn't understand if you wear the device all the time, or just when sleeping. If the latter it would account for why the device didn't record the palpitations.
Having had palpitations myself, and had these sensation diagnosed as heart arrhythmia, I would say you know when your heart is out of rhythm.
I bought a 6 lead Kardia device £100+ it records ecgs, but only when I connect to it. The traces are excellent and diagnose A-fib, atrial flutter and about 6 other heart conditions. I could easily email the ecg to a doctor, thus I wonder what info the MedTronic device sends for you?
Thanks for the reply . I wear the device all the time it’s implanted in me and it downloads at night. It’s meant to pick up anything 24 hours but Iam sure I do know when it goes out of rhythm. I have a telephone consultation in May so I shall ask more questions.
Hi @Horse6, I’ve downloaded the monitor but I’m having issues connecting my ICD to my phone via Bluetooth. Even had the phone on my chest at 2 points! Did you need the hospital to open the comms aspect of your ICD to connect it to the Medtronic monitor?
