Hello everyone, Hope this sees you well! So my daughter had her second (first unsuccessful) toe operations on Monday and it got me thinking. Aside from CH she was also born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia and 4 digits where the tendons haven't grown correctly - 2 club toes and little fingers

I am new here! 16 weeks pregnant and concerned....😩
I did not smell any fumes due to the mask, but still am very worried as it states that it causes
birth
defects
. EEK! I will be talking to my OBGYN next week. Been told by family and my husband not to worry, but would love a little feedback! Thankyou.

Significant Weight Gain
I was diagnosed last August; started Methotrexate March and had to start
birth
control as well due to MTX
birth
defects
; I’m 34yo and may consider another baby. I know
birth
control causes weight gain as well sometimes; but I’ve literally gained twenty pounds since March.

Hi all I know miscarriages are well known in aps, which I Have not had however my son was born with a hand defect (missing fingers small arm in fact carries on down the whole left side slightly) never ever had a explanation he also has hurshsprungs. The only thing that has been mentioned is a interruption

35 wk scan shows polyhydramnios. Has it caused any baby birth defects or problems?
I was wondering if anyone else has had this and whether it's due to
birth
defects
or problems with the baby, or simply my body causing this. I do have Gestational Diabetes and have been on 2 metformin tablets a day, but since taking them I had now got this.

Consultation to fortify flour with folic acid,🥖
Hi everyone, Folic acid is very important as it helps our bodies absorb iron and the consultation is whether it should be mandatory to fortify flour with folic acid to help prevent
birth
defects
, so even though I think its a shame we have to fortify our foods if it saves lives and improves lives then

GestationalDiabetes in the first trimester
However when I saw the diabetic nurse today she said I should have been on insulin for the past 6 weeks and my high readings (despite trying to control them with diet) means I could have done harm to my baby and caused
birth

. I’m now terrified....anyone had similar?

Prednisolone - so scared of taking steroids
Apparently they cause
birth
defects
(cleft palate) and increase the risk of miscarriage. They also seem to have some pretty horrendous side effects. Are they definitely a good idea? Has anyone found they made all the difference and they wouldn't be pregnant without them? Thanks so much x

High sperm DNA fragmentation
I know we’re doing IVF with ICSI anyway but it just makes me that bit more worried about miscarriage and
birth

if we do manage to get a BFP.

Embrel and Pregnancy?
My consultant said that I was able to stay on it and it says it’s ok on the NRAS website, but I have read some studies from America and Other countries where it was said to increase
birth
defects
during pregnancy and it’s now got me really worried.

Fertility and time limits. Realistic chance of success?
Recently my doctor told me that I must start taking a new medication which causes
birth
defects
. (more info on my profile if interested) I've been given 5 months to get pregnant and have told doctors that if I do, I will go through the pregnancy with no medication.
