So my daughter had her second (first unsuccessful) toe operations on Monday and it got me thinking.
Aside from CH she was also born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia and 4 digits where the tendons haven't grown correctly - 2 club toes and little fingers not fully able to extend/straighten.
Does anyone think there might be a slight possibility that these things could be related to CH or, as I've been told before, they are all spontaneous?
Thank you
Vanessa

I doubt they truly know for sure. My MIL was always told my husband’s congenital heart defect was spontaneous. But they made us do fetal echocardiograms with both our pregnancies anyway.
I was born with CH as well. I am in my late 50's now. I personally have never heard of being born with other conditions as well. It might be just coincidence. How old is your little one now? The only thing I can't do is, bend my fore finger/index finger on my left hand but I put that down to arthritis in my old age.
The only problem I had as a child is that at one point they had to reduce my meds as my bone age was older than it should have been, but it was soon corrected. I was around five years old. So perhaps keep an eye on that. Evidently at that stage, the joints start locking into place. If I was you, I would discuss with your daughters Endo or Consultant, about vitamin D deficiency and B12 deficiency. (I was in my 30's when that was diagnosed)
The only thing that I have been told in my golden years is that, I may have always had a form of sleep apnoea, which went undetected from a young age, (I was 53 when detected) but no one is really sure. I did have my adenoids take out as a child, but it did not stop the snoring! It is something to do with soft tissue??
