I am new here! 16 weeks pregnant and concerned....😩

Hi there,

I am currently 16 weeks pregnant. Before pregnancy, Art was a big part of my life. I recently finished a project for a gift for my husband and unfortunately and worried about some of the products I used. I sculpted and baked a clay figure, and painted it with Acrylic paint. He loves it very much and it looks great! Here are the products I used:

Sculpey clay (says non toxic but unsure of the fumes when it’s baked.)

Acrylic water based paint.

The one I’m worried about the most: Gorilla glue—I used this twice. I had a mask on while using it but after reading the warning on the back now I’m paranoid about it... I did not smell any fumes due to the mask, but still am very worried as it states that it causes birth defects. EEK!

I will be talking to my OBGYN next week. Been told by family and my husband not to worry, but would love a little feedback! Thankyou.

I think the only time you would need to be worried is if you had been sat sniffing glue for hours. As you were wearing a mask, and didn’t smell anything you took all the correct precautions so I wouldn’t worry xx
