Birth defects

We had been planning to start trying to conceive a second child before diagnosis but I’m not willing to try whilst on medication (carbimazole or PTU) as I am almost 40 and don’t want the combined risk of birth defects, side effects etc.

I don't want to risk birth defects from taking any medication. I want NATURAL foods in me, and another method to be treated so I don't hurt my unborn baby. I want to have the right to choose the natural option for when I get pregnant.

Maudie was both with birth defects and had junivile RA and this followed into her being an adult. worse she had it with much pain in her hands. She lived in a 10 x 9,5 foot house, yes you read correct and one bedroom upstairs.

my second fet and 3rd transfer first fresh lost baby at 21 weeks to birth defects . I dont know how to feel i actually feel very numb i just am constantly preparing for the worst always . My last fet failed of my first ivf round 3bb. This is a embryo from my second ivf .

It woukd seem its a birth defects and it's location was very rare and possibly serious due to my muscle spasticity. I already have a lump of scar tissue in my cheek from accidentally biting it all the time. My lip has had the same trauma but I lucked out.

i have my first scan today (13wks 1 day), i am very anxious.. i keep thinking ridiculous things like they are going to say there is no baby etc. and am horrified thinking about birth defects and chromosomal abnormalities.. any help/advice?

My experience with this ‘concept’ began with my son’s birth thirty-six years ago, and to this day, managing his most difficult birth defects and health challenges.

(30% or more) Is ICSI an alternative likely to be offered rather than 'normal' IVF due to this level of fragmentation (I'm an NHS patient but paid for the test privately and still to share the results with them) Is ICSI higher risk than IVF when it comes to birth defects/abnormalities etc?

The reason I'm asking is because I've suffered with mild oedema since I was a young child with no explanation from the NHS, but I've also suffered with hashimoto's for many years, so I'm wondering if I've had right sided heart defects since birth.

Present-at- conditions. These include low birth weight and congenital malformations (birth defects) in babies born to people who smoked while pregnant. Miscarriage. Type 2 diabetes. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and other autoimmune diseases.

I am an older mum and I cant stop worrying about still birth, birth defects, going into early labour. Has anyone else experienced this?
