Man's Prostate Cancer Caused "Uncontrollable" Irish Accent, Doctors Say
Biopsy
confirmed transformation to small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC). Despite chemotherapy, his NEPC progressed resulting in multifocal brain metastases and a likely paraneoplastic ascending paralysis leading to his death.

When to stop ADT post RT given the situation and moderate hypofractionated RT
I had Gleason 7 (3+4) in January 2020 with PSA never above 5.1 until sudden jump to 8 by October 2021 and opted to try HIFU which failed to reduce PSA and a subsequent
biopsy
showed a Gleason 9 in a different previously biopsied negative cores area.

Endometriosis diagnosis
Hi everybody, I have used this forum to look for information for a while but never posted on here.I have suffered with severe pain in my stomach and other symptoms for years, whilst going round and around with doctors giving me womb biopsies, smears and IBS treatments. Last October an ultrasound found

Percentage of tissue with carsinoma when Gleason 9 and accuracy of normal ct scan
So far we have only PSA-value 40,
biopsy
results and normal ct-scan. Waiting for more bone scans and meeting with doctors will be after that.

Rising PSA
Is a
biopsy
now the right thing to do? Or, alternately, do some scans first, perhaps try a course of Cipro in case it’s bacterial prostatitis, … etc? How else can he test for something other than PCa before proceeding with
biopsy
? What other steps would you suggest?

Lymphedema after mastectomy & sentinel node biopsy
Hello,I was wondering if anyone has experienced lymphedema in their arm 1 year + after a sentinel node
biopsy
. I had a hysterectomy procedure yesterday and they told me I can't have IV's, blood draws or blood pressure checks in my right arm because they removed lymph nodes.

Covid concerns
Recent elevated WBC counts led me to the hematologists office for more blood work and a bone marrow
biopsy
. Original dx was presumed to be marginal zone lymphoma, but at my appt this week the oncologist said that it is CLL. I have a CT scan for staging at the end of the month.

Mistrust of Hysterscopy procedure
I have heard so many horrible things, like perforating the bowel, hemorrhage, and if the mass I have is contained cancer that the
biopsy
could pierce the mass and therefore spread it?! These are valid fears to me, as I now have quite a mistrust of the NHS over the past few years.

Pain in the lower tailbone?
Just receiving my diagnosis post MRI and
biopsy
and don’t yet have a Gleason score but doc says 99% sure the tumor found in my prostate is cancer. For the last few months I’ve been experiencing pain in my lower tailbone (coccyx) but every doc has said that is not a symptom of PC.

Post RT decisions on ADT and relative risk benefit
It was 4.1 but I knew it had doubled in 18 months and I had an MpMRI and a
Biopsy
in January 2020 Of the 9 cores from three sites, only one site in one side was positive for PCa with G7 3+4 (<5% 4).

Sister has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer
She has had mammogram,
biopsy
and ultrasound where they found 2 more lumps (3 total).I’m distraught and trying to be brave. Mum is in bits and I don’t know what to do to help. We should find out the results soon so can work out what’s next. She has 3 little girls too.

Biopsy 2 years post treatment
I was just told by my oncologists office (Zelefsky) that it is now standard practice at MSKCC to perform a 14 core
biopsy
to check for any residue cancer cells even if the PSA has been trending in the right direction (8.5 one year ago, 1.35 now), at the 2 year mark.

Genetics - Some answers but not all
Received my husband's somatic mutation report from the liver and lymph
biopsy
. Not clear yet if the MSI test report is back. In the meantime, the lack of good response to hormonal drugs and chemo might be explained by the following.

Prolaris Test Helps ID Higher-risk Patients Who May Safely Skip ADT when receiving radiation for PCa
Prolaris predicts cancer aggressiveness by analyzing the activity of 46 genes involved in cancer cell proliferation, using tissue collected during a
biopsy
to confirm a cancer diagnosis or during surgery to remove the prostate.

How long of a delay in treatment is too long? And how does weak urinary flow interface with RT?
In addition, he sent off tissue samples from my
biopsy
to get a Decipher test. His hunch is that despite my "mild EPE" (per MRI) and my Gleason 3+4, my Decipher number will be low enough to warrant RT without hormones.

Bone marrow biopsy frequency ?
I had my first nine marrow
biopsy
6 years ago now. The emergency consultant I saw then did BMB to get baseline levels as well as confirmation of E.T However I was then transferred to my local haematology consultant who said she wouldn't have bothered with a BMB.

Implantation clinic, experienced?
I believe they complete a
biopsy
from the uterus and test this for NK cells testing and also tests when I am optimal to have transfer as we may be transferring to early/too late etc- im not sure to be honest! Please let me know as I’d be really interested to hear experiences, positive or not! X

Time between MRI and biopsy
I have been given
biopsy
date 10weeks after MRI. It seems quite long to me. I go to Stanford health, which is one of the top places and the person doing the
biopsy
is one of the top uro-oncologists. I am just worried about the time lag. I guess if you go to top places you have to wait.
