BK Virus
My nephrologist order a kidney
biopsy
which did not show a significant amount of the BK virus, however, my kidney function has dropped down to less than 25%. One of the side effects of the BK virus is the loss of the transplanted kidney, although my nephrologist tells me its not time to panic.

After radiation in July of 2022, I was off everything except Tamoxifen for a year, and then my cancer showed up again in my chest wall this spring on an MRI, PET scan, and
biopsy
confirmed.

Some encouragement
I wanted to try to encourage some of you who have recently joined this esteemed club, that nobody really wants to belong too, fortunately it's free. 10 years ago on the 9th of October, I was told that I had prostate cancer, they left the
biopsy
until the new year, to find out that it had gone beyond

Bone Pain
I’ve never had a
biopsy
. It eases sometimes then comes back stronger. I’d really like to know what’s going on. I see my oncologist in the beginning of August. Thanks everyone!

Confused
I had a liver
biopsy
, my score is F3 S2 (NASH) I was told I don’t have cirrhosis yet. However, I have been getting spider veins on my legs and feel pain on my veins on the back of my legs up to my thighs. They are not bulging and the pain lasts for a couple of days and then it’s gone.

recurrence or not? (Liver & stomach wall)
Hi folks just home after a liver
biopsy
after a CT scan following raised CA125 of 21 (mine usually sits @ 6-7 & never went higher than 80s) raised CEA @ 57 (apparently normal is 5 or under?). Originally in 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 1C endometroid and mucinous OC - Ned since then.

Specialty to start with?
She recommended getting a
biopsy
. I can't have an MRI due to pacemaker. I saw TA's comment the other day about having a CT-scan/bone scan before a
biopsy
and it got me to thinking that maybe I should have started off with a RO from the very beginning.

FSH going from 8 to 43 just in few weeks while preparing for a FET, is it temporary or menopause?
After a hysteroscopy and a
biopsy
in late May I diagnosed with endometrisis, chronic infection of uterus, bcuz I had a metal barrier put in to prevent adhesions after surgery, now we need to do another
biopsy
to check if it healed after antibiotics , the lining is very thin between 4 to 5 mm.

He had a lung
biopsy
that came back inconclusive. He relies on full time oxygen and coughs constantly- hardly able to talk or catch a breath most the time. Dr wants to run tests to see if he is a candidate for a lung transplant.

Adenomyosis, should I have hysterectomy?
I had a
biopsy
(clear), a transvaginal ultrasound which showed 23mm deep endometrium with striations even after progesterone treatment to reduce it and a 15mm polyp, then a hysteroscopy (confirmed polyp and adenomyosis) and polypectomy (successful).

Gleason scoring (GS) by pathologists based on microscopic
biopsy
aids clinical prognosis. Screening depends on highly trained pathologists yet is ultimately subjective. Clinical evaluation could be more cost effective and objective.

STAGE 1C1 Grade 2
The results from the
biopsy
was that the cyst was cancerous being a moderately differentiated adencarcinoma. In other words the grading was two and in a stage 1C1 category so I’ve been told.

Hi GCA and polymyalgia
Once diagnosed and confirmed with a
biopsy
my treatment was good. I'm now on 5mg of steroids reducing by 1mg per month. Once diagnosed with this it seemed to trigger so many other things, polymyalgia, atrial fibulation, psoriatic arthritis (I already had psoriasis for 15 years), etc .

I WANT TO PUT SOMEONE'S MIND AT EASE AFTER MY FIRST COLONOSCOPY
I've just done my Colonoscopy and THANKFULLY, he could only see inflammation at the beginning of my rectum, so he took a
biopsy
. My whole colon looked clean and clear, no polyps, whatsoever.
