Brain Death and recovery with Deep Brain Stimulation
In March 1983 I was a victim of a Hit and deny responsibility attack by an insane motorist who was driving way too fast. My brain apparently had died and the NHS staff at Plymouth Freedom Fields hospital were about to turn off the life support machine. Only thanks to the intervention of my loving parents

New results and an update - Vit D, early Lyme Disease and what looks like vitiligo
Doc called this morning to check in (looks like throwing my toys out of the pram made a big difference!). Results came back and she said I'm severely Vit D deficient (result 22, didn't get the range but "severe" is good enough for me) and tested positive for "early" Lyme Disease. The D3 I bought is

What is the amount of biotin likely to affect thyroid blood tests?
Hi everyone, I had planned to do a Medichecks blood test early next week, Monday or Tuesday, but have only just remembered the advice given to stop biotin 4/5 days before the test. I take a multivitamin containing 30mcg biotin. Is this enough to adversely affect the results (TSH, FT4 and FT3)? Obviously

Parkinson's and Lyme Disease
Hello. I am very new to the site. First post ever! I would like to know if anyone here has heard of the correlation between Parkinson's symptoms and Lyme Disease? Were you ever tested and diagnosed with LD? And if so, after taking antibiotics, did your Parkinson's get any better?

DVA Developmental Venous Anomalies
Anyone familiar with bilateral frontal lobe complications of DVA? I am experiencing trigeminal neuralgia, facial pain, and numbness, hearing issues, seizures, and migraines. I am wondering if i will need surgery to correct this. It is on both sides.

Post sepsis and pneumonia
I had pneumonia and sepsis in Feb 2018. My hair loss started in April. Nearly all gone now. Using biotin and vivisical . Does any one use these and see any results. So hard to have patience when you had thick hair and now is thin and lifeless. Do any vitamins or diet help.

Still no idea what is going on with my daughter. Am at a loss as to what to do now. The only thing that has come up high is her Erythrocyte sedimentation rate is high 17mm range (1.0 - 12.0) The doctor requested a full thyroid check but it wasn't done as her TSH came back as 0.75 (0.38-5.33) she is not

Old paper says niacin causes PD
https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/2cf8/4ef0eb93c598b74a244ab3e646b94c97a55a.pdf This paper proposes too much niacin causes PD as countries with pellagra (deficiency in niacin) have lower incidence of PD. But it is from 2005. Does anyone know if this has been disproved?

Problems with B1
My husband started taking B1 as recommended on this website but had to give it up after three weeks because his health deteriorated. We were abroad on holiday at the time and he fell at least five times, one quite badly busting his nose and lips. When we got home he stopped taking it as Dr Constantini
