Advice on Pramipexole Withdrawal?
I was as diagnosed with PD in 2012.. At that time I was put on Pramipexole and Rasagaline and several years later- Sinemet. When I transferred to a movement disorder specialist in 2016, I was on 1mg of Pramipexole- 5 times a day (No this is not a misprint) I did not know any different until I started

I asked on David Sinclair's Facebook page.
What do you think about: “Metformin Use Linked to Increased Dementia, Parkinson's Risk in Patients With Diabetes” https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/877965. With NMN, niacin or NR I feel a slight tingling sensation inside my head which I take as my brain being energized, but metformin causes me to

If anyone can help my dad interpret these numbers it might enable him to ask some intelligent questions when GP calls next week. Thanks
Hello again! I’ve asked a lot of questions on here lately and have received some really helpful and sound advice. This time I hope you can help with my dad’s reasonably comprehensive results. His thyroid hormones have been going awry for a couple of years and GP has just been monitoring. He takes no

How can I increase my T4?
Having just discovered that there is a relationship between hypothyroidism, low T4 and kidney problems. In other words low GFR (kidney function) I'm wondering whether I should consider increasing my NDT or thyroxin or whatever I can take to increase my T4. My results most recently done in February.

Positive pregnancy test - should I increase levo by 25mcg?
Had a positive pregnancy test yesterday. About to speak to the doctor this morning and as of yet haven't taken a 25mcg increase in levothyroxine, which I read I should do. My last blood test results are in the photo attached. These were taken on 8th March a few days before I must have conceived. If

Shining a light on Protein Aggregation in Parkinson's Disease
Niacin, who knew?! Research shows that in the brain, niacin interacts with a highly-selective receptor, HCAR2, present in immune cells physically associated with amyloid plaques. When niacin activates the receptor, it stimulates beneficial actions from these immune cells. After the Alzheimer's disease

Prep for GP Hypo review blood test
My GP has asked me to have a blood test as part of my Hashis review for Levo repeat prescription. I usually do a Private full test myself each May. I know that for that I need to avoid B12, Biotin to ensure more helpful results but does it matter about avoiding those in advance of the basic TSH test

inaccurately diagnosing hypothyroidism question
This sounds like a dumb question, but I cannot seem to find an answer to it. If someone was prescribed levothyroxine for hypothyroidism by mistake (biotin affecting labs or other weird stuff that made the results inaccurate) how would they know? I have read that the medication does not boost your current

The battle with Parkinson's and DBS
Hello All, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's almost ten years ago at age of 50, I had been having many health problems 3 years prior, and they attributed all of my issues to a spinal injury that I had many years earlier. I was missed diagnosed, I had Parkinson's. I started out using no Medications, but

Would T3 help me? Ferritin boost? Comments welcome
Hi all. I made an earlier post saying I was wondering if some T3 would help me. I have some new blood results, see below. I have Hashimotos, first diagnosed 2016. I made an attempt to get T3 in 2018 and saw an endometriologist at the hospital in Bury St Edmunds who was on the T3 friendly list - however

Rituximab and tetanus (etc.)
This is to all my fellow immune suppressed folks about rituximab. I've been unable to find solid information, and my consultants aren't sure, so wondered if anyone here knows. Does rituximab impact our tetanus jabs and similar? I was up to date on all my boosters, but got bit by a tick on Saturday (think
