Change in hair texture/appearance while on Ibrance/Faslodex
I am on Ibrance/Faslodex since early June. Before that I had 1 1/2 cycles of Kiskali but had a severe adverse reaction and had to stop. My hair started thinning on Kiskali, it is now shedding big time and I have lost about 50% of my hair. and the texture and appearance of my remaining hair has changed

Mything the point: Some Thoughts on Living Well with PD
This sort of thing is a tough sell in the sense that people running the show at PD websites are worried that submissions that aren't predictably positive or upbeat in tone might upset regular readers. In some cases, fundraising' may come into play. As noted in the piece, I'm not trying to stir up a

Would you be happy to go ahead??
Hi gang, hope everyone’s well. We had our consultation this week and can start treatment whenever (I need to induce a period so it’s really up to us). A couple of things! My TSH came back at 2.65 but no one is willing to prescribe anything to bring it down - I’m talking my GP, my fertility clinic

Help on latest test results please
Hi all, Edited to correct 2020 figures - Thank you 😊 This is my first post, may I have some help on my latest blood tests please? All my tests (Medichecks) were done according to the recommended protocol; fasting, no Levo for 24 hours, bloods drawn at 9am. I'm not currently taking any biotin.

Test results advice please
Hi all I’ve been getting confused just recently with my thyroxine medication because I’m not sure if the excipients in the meds make me feel tired and bloated or if I’m just under medicated. I’ve just done a basic Medichecks blood test as I’ve never been able to pluck up the courage to do it before.

Shingles vaccine
Has anyone here has the shingles vaccine? I know that the usual one is a live vaccine but the nurse at the surgery told me that there is a two-dose non-live one I could have if it didn’t compromise my condition. I do have a haematology phone appointment coming up but not for a few weeks yet so I wondered

Advice please
hi all Had a call from consultant today and got my blood results. TSH 1.52 (0.35-5.5) T4 11 (9-23) T3. 4.2. (3.5 - 6.5) I did mention to him why I went and got a test before the 8weeks as I’d had symptoms of hypo - weak, discomfort in joints(but not painful)- plus by previous results it looked

Panic (in the streets of Birmingham)
Couldn’t resist this allusion to a song by the Smiths and I do live in Birmingham (not Alabama!). I was surprised when asking for a search to be done on our site how few posts there were with Panic in the title. I’m panicking quite a lot recently due to obvious progression of the disease. I’m panicking
