Hi everyone

Currently taking 175mcg levo and 25mcg T3. Same dose for 2 months.

t3 high, should I reduce or stop.

Ferritin high- slight cold on day of test!!!

test taken at 9.30am.

Levo taken 24 hrs earlier

Last 1/ 3. T3 taken 9 hours before test.

No biotin for 7 days.

Also I have no antibodies!!! I had antibodies in my last test earlier this year???

Can anyone shed any light.

Thank you all in advance

Well, you do have antibodies. The result is 30, top of the range is 35, so they're quite high in-range. But, antibodies fluctuate all the time, So it doesn't mean anything.

And, as you have Hashi's, your high over-range FT3 and high in-range FT4, is probably more to do with the Hashi's than your dose. How do you feel on this dose? If you feel good, don't change anything. :)

Thanks for the reply grey goose.I'm feeling a bit tired but not sure if it's due to being overmedicated or not.

Thanks for the info on the antibodies,

Thought I was going mad.

Ft4 is also a bit high

Suggest you reduce Levothyroxine by 12.5mcg (150mcg and 175mcg alternate days )

Retest in 6-8 weeks

This should reduce Ft4 and FT3 a little

Thank you Slow Dragon

Should I stay on T3 25mcg??!

Thank you for your help. ☺️

We should only change one thing at a time…so yes…personally I would reduce levothyroxine as first step

Retest in 6-8 weeks

You might possibly then reduce T3 by 1/4 of tablet per day….but reducing levothyroxine may be enough

Do you usually have a test so close to your t3 dose? I wonder if this is why your t3 result is raised?

Hi AurealisI took 25mcg T3 in 3 separate doses, the last one about 9 hours before the test.

Is this right???

The effect of 25mcg of T3 is approx equal to 100mcg of levothyroxine.

That sounds a lot when you say it like that.Trying to get the right dose never ends.
