Immunocompromised people aged 50+ are now eligible for the shingles vaccine
Immunocompromised people aged 50 and over are now eligible for the shingles vaccine. The vaccine reduces your chances of getting shingles and reduces the risk of complications if you still develop it. When will we reconcile with the fact that there is no cure now? Possibly never?
This is a vent. Sorry for this, but I am frustrated with the disease and the daily stress of living with it. People don't understand what we're going through and have limited patience with our strange condition. Family and friends who observe us at close quarters start to form their own opinions about

DBS and balance
My left side is amore severe than right hence the voltage is higher and more contact points . My body tends to tilt to the right’ and I tend to fall backward on the right, My neurologist tried to reduce the frequency, it helps with the balance but not so good at reducing stiffness. Any insight?

Biotin & Blood Work
Hi. I would appreciate your thoughts regarding biotin supplementation and how much time one should leave between a dose of biotin and a blood test measuring FT3, FT4 & TSH? I am really not sure, and getting conflicting info online. Some say 24h is okay, and other sources say anywhere between 3-7 days

About me
In the late spring of 2015, I found myself depressed. I sought out a psychologist. I quite liked him, but treatment had no positive effects. I was experiencing strange physical effects at the same time… Things like walking became difficult, my body was stiff, and my sense of smell and taste had diminished

Out of Remission
Well, I got some not so good news today. I had my CLL check today and I'm out of remission. My WBC is now 14K. My platelets are 152. My doctor wants to start me on Zanabrutinib now. I know it seems silly when just getting out of remission and I'm not even close to a WBC of 30K yet, and I have no other

ANRC Plus instead of B complex?
The below is my own work which I am simply sharing. I have no other agentia other than to invite comments and zero expectations. I make no claim to legitimacy or accuracy. I have less than zero medical training. It makes sense to me that any supplement should be checked to insure that an ingredient

I vont to be alone…………
8 years in, DBS on Wednesday. You know you’re sick when you’re actually looking forward to brain 🧠 surgery eh? 😂. I was thinking last night how much I rely on my wife these days. Such a fine woman 👩: cooks food, washes the clothes, takes our pooch for a walk, hold down a teaching job, taxis me about

Blood Test Results
I've received my blood test results and my GP is not very happy with the suppressed TSH. I stopped taking B complex 2 weeks prior to test. I am currently prescribed 75mcg Levo and 20mcg of Lio but I have added half a capsule of Metative 11. I reduced the Lio to 15mcg 3 months ago. So these

Could Psychedelics help in Parkinsons Disease treatment?
Long read. Promises hope for stroke victims. https://www.wired.com/story/the-psychedelic-scientist-who-sends-brains-back-to-childhood/ ----------------- Here is the responses from AI when fed this article. I asked Claude to summarize the article and hypothetically project possible treatment options

DBS effectiveness.
Was DBS effective in treating your pain, stiffness, dyskinesias? Did it have any affect with freezing? I find myself taking more and more meds, and new treatments are taking to long to get here.
