DBS and balance

My left side is amore severe than right hence the voltage is higher and more contact points . My body tends to tilt to the right’ and I tend to fall backward on the right,

My neurologist tried to reduce the frequency, it helps with the balance but not so good at reducing stiffness.

Any insight?

My husband had his DBS op in 2005 and just recently had his settings reduced because of falls. His nurse told him to try switching it off at 'on' times and it has improved his falls. We set an alarm to set it back on before he goes 'off'. I think he might be better with it off permanently but his tremor gets worse when he is off but I think it's panic that causes it.
