Question about Dexamethasone with O&V
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed in Jan 23 and started Obinutuzumab 3 weeks ago - will additionally be starting Venetoclax later this week. My WBC was 32 before starting O and nearly immediately reduced to 2.5 - 5. But neutrophils have been an ongoing concern. I was profoundly neutropenic (ie 0.0) at

Slow rising PSA. Wait and watch?
Hello everyone My father has been on ADT since two years (Zytiga and Lupron). His PSA fell from 500 at diagnosis to 0.41 last September. Since then it has slowly been creeping up. In 5 months it has risen to 0.74. I have got his PSA tested every month so this is not a random jump but a slow increase

Reaching the end of treatment, suggestions beyond Docetaxel and Carboplatin.
1st Docetaxel in ‘21 held psa down to 8, but further treatments have been with no success. I read once that the steroid to use with chemo could be Dexamethasone 1 mg rather than prednisone 5 mg. Is there a clinical reason why? What next?

Dexamethasone
After 10 cycles of Docetaxel I'm having a break from treatment for a few weeks before deciding on the next treatment. My PSA is still rising In the meantime I've been prescribed Dexamethasone. 500 micrograms. I've read some previous posts on this. Is the view on balance this can be helpful in keeping

Thyroid or Pituitary Problem?
Sorry in advance for the long essay! Desperatly hoping for some advice. I am a 30-year-old female suffering fatigue, brain fog & migraine with visual disturbances since July 2020, therefore I stopped the COCP after a 10-year use (which was prescribed for the management of menorrhagia). Since stopping

Mandibular (trigeminal) nerve interference... relief?
For over a week I have experienced discomfort in my left ear and jaw, with some headache also on the left side. Over the weekend the discomfort worsened a bit to the point of occasional "pain." (The issue is not one of intense pain, thankfully, but mostly of persistent ongoing discomfort of a minor headache

Started Triplet Therapy this week, new doc, new (better) treatment plan!
Started triplet therapy this week with first dose of NUBEQA on Wednesday and Docetaxel yesterday afternoon at City of Hope in Duarte, CA. "Fired" my local general oncologist whose plan was Xtandi, radiation, and Xgeva for me. She was against chemo in my case since the mets weren’t in organs. Contrast

Docetaxel guideline for Prostate cancer
Dear friends, My father’s Onco had given just 5 days prednisolone 5 mg twice a day after the day of chemo and dexamethasone 8 mg intravenous the day of chemo. Unfortunately, I have lost my dear, sweet heart father 3 months after the last chemo (8 sessions). My father PSA was only 157. It is so devastating

Looking for more wholistic answers to dealing with ITP
Hi, I am newly diagnosed since Aug. 2022 with ITP and have had two crashes with platelet levels in the single digits twice now. Last week they put me on a short dose of dexamethasone which helped and now I am getting Nplate injections weekly for a month. From everything I have read, I cannot find

ThIrd infusion of JANX007
Hello all, I had my 3rd infusion today of the new immunotherapy drug called JANX007. They had been giving me IV steriods and benadryl. My MO came in today and said we are going to change things up, NO STERIODS. He said the odds of having a reaction to the cancer drug was less than 10%. So he sent

I don’t think my asthma was properly diagnosed for years. I think I have an atypical type. I was exposed to noxious fumes in 2010, for only a few minutes. I was removing belongings from my late mom’s home after her bedroom floor was sealed against animal odors. The smell was so strong, it was February

Egg collection straight after FET - can you do this?
I had a failed FET earlier this week - third so far, two of them PGT tested. I want to do another egg collection asap. My consultant told me beforehand that would be fine but she is now off on long term sick. Got a new consultant yesterday who also said yes, that is fine, and put together the protocol
