Clean Keyo diet while on Lupron
Has anyone used clean Keto to lose weight without muscle while taking Lupron? I gained 20 around my middle mostly because of inactivity from fatigue. I am committed to change but cannot afford to lose any muscle. I am not thinking keto as a long term or permanent way of eating, only to force my body

My dad, 82 yo male had a previous PSA score that hovered around 3 and then went up to 5. Had MRI/CT which came up clear last year and a prostate biopsy (11 samples, noted prostatitis and BPH) in September last year which was also clear. Took PSA again in December 2023, it jumped to 15. Took PSA in February

Radioligand Therapy May Improve Radiographic Progression–Free Survival in Taxane-Naive Patients With Advanced Prostate Cancer
Too late for me...but it looks like Pluvicto (and I think radio ligands in general) is moving up in the ladder to reach the first line treatment option https://ascopost.com/news/june-2024/radioligand-therapy-may-improve-radiographic-progression-free-survival-in-taxane-naive-patients-with-advanced-prostate-cancer

CC260 selective PI5P4Kα and PI5P4Kβ inhibitor
Hii I was going through some article regarding prostate cancer and found that some CC260 , a drug that attacks PI5P4Kα is under research . Many cases of prostate cancer can be treated through treatments that lower testosterone and other male sex hormones, but about 10–20% of prostate cancer cases

Eosinophilic Oesophagitis from ADT ?
Following some recent episodes of choking on fluids, I have had an edoscopy plus tissue biopsies which show eosinophilic oesophagitis. This can be simply described as an inflammatory disorder of the oesophagus due to food based proteins or other substances. I have some very long standing food allergies

Xtandi
I am using Xtandi about 2 months now. My doctor and I are afraid Xtandi may become resistant to the cancer. he target about 18 months only. Is there any person who is using Xtandi for more than 18 months?? Please help and let me know. I am getting nervous after bicalutamide failed in less than 2

The 2024 Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APCCC) meeting-- Chock full of Testosterone...
Greetings FPC Forum Dwellers, Marnie passed me some solid information on the APCCC...and it is all about testosterone... I got you looking now !!! First, the warmup with a case study and the message that when it comes to testosterone recovery, short term ADT can take 18 months and long term ADT to 2

Lupron Question
Received a 3 month Lupron injection last week. Can someone share how long it takes to feel the full effects of the medication ? I'm awaiting insurance approval for Xtandi but I should start this week. Will Xtandi make a big difference in how I feel ?

Phase 3 trial enrolling: MK-5684 Versus Alternative Abiraterone Acetate or Enzalutamide in participants with mCRPC
Previously Treated With Next-generation Hormonal Agent (NHA) and Taxane-based Chemotherapy...which would be the case for people that did the triplet. It's the "old" ODM-208 molecule! https://uvahealth.com/clinicaltrials/phase-3-randomized-open-label-study-mk-5684-versus-alternative-abiraterone-acetate

Abiraterone dosage
This is somewhat related to my question concerning my elevated alt/ast levels that I asked about last week. Some of you mentioned that while on Abiraterone, you experienced a significant increase in those levels. My question here has to do with the proper dosage of Abiraterone. I'm currently taking

My first post concerning APC
Hello everyone. I have just found this site, so unfamiliar with posting protocol. Briefly. I was diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer (bones) in January, 2023 (thought I just needed to stock up on antacids). February, 2023 prescribed Apalutamide plus Trelstar. Ceased being effective April

Our cancer treatment centres are a disaster here. I need to purchase some drugs on my own if I am to survive. Would you please recommend someone you trust to buy from the following: 1. Zytiga. 500 mg. dosage or whatever is available, I need three months worth, taken twice daily 2. Prednisone 5 mg

Poop talk: microbiome and prostate cancer, some news
Ok, it's one fascinating subject, especially if we use the word microbiome! Consider that the study was carried out on murine models but also on humans, so there are some interesting findings. In a small small nutshell (but I suggest you to read the whole article, at least the introduction and the conclusions

Younger man with prostate cancer
Hi there, Apparently, there has been an increase in prevalence in men under 50 being diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am a journalist investigating a piece on why this is happening for a national newspaper. I am looking for British clinicians who might want to comment on this, any interesting research

Why is oncologist not concerned about liver lesion?
So my husband has prostate cancer with mets to the bone, diagnosed 2 years ago, and he just had a CT scan done. They detected a lesion in his liver that was not there before. But the oncologist didn't even mention it? Can they tell it's not from the prostate cancer just from a CT scan?

CTscan due to high risk Prostate cancer
CTscan for newly found high risk Prostate cancer also came back with a SUV of 21.6 for Paritod gland and 21.8 for Prostate gland. Bones clear. Anyone have a high Paritod SUV on their scan and did it end up being cancer also?
