need some reassurance please
Hi, this is my first post. I just need a bit of reassurance. My husband had a quadruple bypass in July this year after 3 months of waiting in hospital. He’s 52 and had been having chest pains for a few months before being admitted because of his ecg results. After the bypass he recovered really well

Just a little advice. Been having episodes for around 10 years starting around 2 a year. Never knowing what it was I put it down to blood pressure when hunched forward or standing. Now know that's my trigger.Dizziness some palpitations for a around 8 hours or so then normal. Few gp visits with one 24

Don't blame it all on the prednisone! Check things out.👩🏻⚕️ or 👨🏻⚕️
I'm writing to add a soft warning to be mindful. I was diagnosed with GCA in 2019 and finally got down to single digits this summer, I'm taking 5 mg per day plus Actemra. I'm only dropping .5 mg every six weeks. It has been fairly smooth except the fatigue, I did nothing and was [i]so, so tired![/

Calcium needed or not…?
This is an open-end question, for which there might not be an answer. After diagnosis of PMR my Rheumy prescribed a DEXA scan. Showed mild Osteopenia. Was told to take 1,000 mg / day to help prevent degrading into Osteoporosis as taking Prednisone can progress that disease. So, started reading scientific

chicken pox and pmr
My granddaughter has just been diagnosed with chicken pox. It’s her first birthday tomorrow and the following day, a party and bbq was planned. This may go ahead in a shortened form as she appears only mildly affected. My question is - am I at risk of catching chicken pox (severely) if I am in the same

FND seizures
Hi, my daughter started to have seizures in September out of the blue, she’s 14 soon to be 15. She went to a&e who said bloods and ecg heart trace was all good and sent us in our way - being discharged during a seizure was the biggest let down yet! We were scared and unsupported. We had a neurologist

Update: it’s all over
Update: third hcg levels on 190, so not doubling in 72 hours. Devastated. That’s the end for us. No more attempts Tomorrow I have my second BT to see if the very low initial hcg has doubled. If not, that’s it for us - this was our last attempt before we move away from it all. I was so hoping

Fitbit for a fib?
hi all. My husband has had paroxysmal a fib for last 4 years and takes digoxin. We use the Kardia mobile with great success. I’m wondering whether to get him either a Fitbit or more expensive Apple Watch so he can keep an eye on how high his rate goes while out on his daily walk. I don’t think it’s

Virus or Bacterial infections when on Prednisolone for PMG
Thanks to those who answered my first post on this site asking if anyone contracted PMR following pneumococcal vaccine , that was my question. Many replies were very helpful but then it turned into vaccine vs anti vaccine and people stating they know stress of any type including vaccines can cause

Third try at posting, this time not members only
I went to the Urgent CAre centre last Thursday because my BP monitors had been showing an erratic beat every day for 5 days They did a very brief ECG, blood test and chest x ray, told me I had atrial ectopics , gave me antibiotics for goodness knows what and sent me home. Friday , Monday and Tuesday

Permanent bloating with continuous palpitations
At my wits end for some time now have had constant palpitations accompanied by endless stomach bloating - every few seconds my heart jumps/hesitates/leaps - have tried valsalva manoeuvre, cold water splashes on face, slow/deep breathing, and for the bloating have tried activated charcoal capsules, pepppermint

Help with interpreting test results
Hello! I'm new here and have already learned so much - I was wondering if anyone could help with fathoming what is going on? I'm a 34 year old woman. I initially went to the GP in August with an irregular heartbeat and a very sudden onset of general anxiety/physical feelings of doom, as well as trouble

if only
if only I could wake up and feel okay I would give anything for that. Still have that damn ima die or something bad’s about to happen feeling and other weird sensations. Went to the cardiologist today once again BP was high 180/82 ugh how can my bp fluctuate so much like it’s usually like 140s even sometimes
