*update* Sensitive: HCG plateaued and clinic not offering any help
As everyone has been so supportive and helpful a quick but rather sad update: went for a private scan today and they couldn't see anything like a viable pregnancy - just a mass of what they called septations (no idea), possibly a haematoma and fluid. They couldn't see the tubes and only one ovary (with

Junctional Rhythm
I have had Paroxysmal Afib since 2017, and take Warfarin and Bisoprolol ( now been 5mgs twice daily for a year ). No other drugs. I have been having a lot of unclassified results on my Kardia lately. A few is normal and I always thought it was interference or similar, or me not being still enough. However

GCA diagnosed February 2018 Tapering now from 5 to 4.5 Mg Prednisone and would appreciate input.
I've had a long tumultuous relationship with prednisone and would like to kick it to the curb permanently now. Eight weeks ago I had an adrenalectomy because I had a very rare Silent Pheochromocytoma. Blood tests this last week indicated that my remaining adrenal gland is doing its' job nicely and it's

Breakthrough episode (Update)
My EP only put me on a miniscule dosage of sotalol as I was doing it out of hospital and couldn't be directly monitored (40mg twice a day). I feel 1000 times better, no kidding, since starting the sotalol even at this low dose. No more daily PVCs, no more extreme fatigue. After checking my QTC to

Rituximab
Good morning…it’s 5.00 and it appears to be Duracell bunny time after my second Rituximab infusion yesterday! Please can I ask you lovely people on RTX a couple of questions. My rheumatology department is hard to get hold off at the best of times and I would rather have opinions from fellow RA ‘warriors

5+4 weeks with tested embryo and good HCG results but terrified for viability scan
Hi all, I'm newly pregnant (currently 5.4 weeks). I've had two good HCG blood test results, the first was >700 at 12dp6dt and the second was >1800 at 14dpt. My clinic says these are good numbers and don't recommend I test again, but I'm already struggling with the wait for the viability scan. I'm terrified

Living with presumed myocarditis which turned out to be MI
Sorry for this long post. I couldn't think how to make it shorter. I've found it hugely helpful to read the posts on this forum so I thought I'd reach out to seek some support and wisdom. My husband was fit and active (we enjoyed leisure cycling 15-20 miles, walking, gardening etc) until Oct '21. A

worry over echo results
I am a 58 year old woman with a 3 generational history of dilated cardiomyopathy, including mother who had a heart transplant at 50 and am also a carrier of Becker muscular dystrophy, which carries an increased risk of DCM. I have an ECG and Echo every 3 years and when the results of the last echo came

TSH in normal range but...
Had some blood tests late December as a follow up from an ECG (no problems). In the little time I had with the GP I raised concerns about thyroid function (sister and brother both diagnosed hypo decades ago). I mentioned a number of symptoms. TSH (the only thyroid test done) came back at 3.1, no action

GCA worries
I’m mildly concerned about my eyesight. I have been on Pred for over 3 years. It was started at 30mg for PMR, and GCA in the family. Down eventually to 6mg, but after husband had just died. Complete collapse of all systems, with double vision worsening, balance bad, pain, etc. so up to 15 again and

Left ventricular hypertrophy
Just been diagnosed with this following an ECG for shortness of breath and discovery of a heart murmur. Waiting for an appointment with a Cardiologist. Need some reassurance as to what I should and shouldn’t be doing. Take blood pressure tablets.

Concerned about my sons' futures after atherosclerosis diagnosis
H, I'm 58 I had mild chest pain or rather more discomfort a few times last year. Decided to take it to A&E last October. ECG, BP were fine, blood test showed high Cholesterol. Slightly elevated troponin. (10) Second blood test an hour or so later showed no rise in troponin. (9) Sent away with something

get your body checked
I had anxiety for 18 years and had all the symptoms you could talk about on here. I been with this group 3 years. And a lot of people helped me but. The best Insurance is a cardiologist I passed every stress test X-ray ecg And ultrasound. I finally got a hart catheter and they had one artery of a branch

Worried about blood test
Hi all, I'm panicking a little and hoping you can put my mind at rest. I've felt wiped out and jittery for a few weeks, supposed to climbing Kilimanjaro in 3 weeks so thought I should get checked up, failed to see GP so got a private appointment which showed high blood pressure so they did an ECG
