Basically episodes have been very long 12 up to 36 hours and every couple of days lately. Phoned 111 today for advice and they told me to get to A and E. So got the wife to drive me through to ninewells in Dundee.(our nearest 40 mins in morning rush hour ) Got ECG rate was down to 110 from 158. Doctor on duty said I can either zap you or go home. He didn't think cardioversion would be worth it and I agreed. As I normally just wait them out but lately I've been getting breathless on top of being very symptomatic. Arythmia nurses want me on amiradrone instead of dronedarone. Not kee. Due to see ep on 22 Feb about an ablation. Any way back at work waiting for convert back to NSR.

This should relieve your fears concerning amiodarone. It seems safe when used with a low dose and monitoring:

Thanks steve.Hopefully stop episodes. Getting well monitored on dronedarone anyway.

Hi take it Dronedarone not working ? I am same after years on Flecanide that did work ! I dont blame you not beeing keen on Amioderone.

Just started flec Wednesday. Fingers crossed. Episodes a wee bit shorter.

Hopefully Flec does the trick I was on it 14 years and it really kept it at bay.

Yeah hope so I've got an online consultation about an ablation Feb 22. Thought it would be face to face at ninewells. I could survive if it wasn't for the light headed/dizziness.
