Gemzar was tough
I spent many years on
Avastin
since 2008 diagnosis. When I came out of remission from it. I was put on carbo/Gemzar. I had a bad reaction to the Carbo, so I had 10 treatments of Gemzar. I finally had to ask Onco to stop because I was losing my quality of life.

Terrible Symptoms from Caelyx
Declared NED in August 2022, immediately started
Avastin
, but blood tests in January showed a slow but steady rise in her CA125. Turns out it was a small recurrence in the peritoneum, so she was immediately put on a course of six Caelyx treatments — we're curently half way through.

Onco suggested I look into combo of
Avastin
+ Tecentriq, which present an array of side effects as a trade off to slowing down the liver degradation. Does anyone have experience with this combination of drugs?

waterproof PICC covers
I still have a PICC line in for my regular
Avastin
and would like a completely waterproof cover for it. Does anyone have any recommendations?

self-funded Avastin at the Christie
I am trying to gather reliable info on what it would cost to pay for a course of
Avastin
. I have run a search on here and other UK forums and the broad consensus is around £20, 000 but there was another recent thread on here where £46,000 was mentioned.

More decisions - Avastin, Niraparib or Letrozole
My Mum, who has done 6 rounds of chemo, 2 with
Avastin
, has just been told she still doesn't present as suitable for surgery. We have mixed emotions about this as she is in her early 80s, although previously very fit and healthy.

Has anyone been on Niraparib twice?
The alternative is
Avastin
infusions at a reduced dose. I was on
Avastin
after first line chemo but found the side effects very difficult . The third choice is to monitor closely with regular bloods and CT if necessary. I really don’t know what to do.

Looking to hear personal experiences of bevacizumab/ Avastin
This person will shortly be commencing 18 cycles of bevacizumab/
Avastin
and is seeking to hear from people who have experienced this treatment please. They would like to know how people have felt on this treatment, what side effects people had and how it compared with chemotherapy.

Gemzar not working
Sadly, I couldn’t tolerate more Carbo, and the Gemzar/
Avastin
infusions have not helped. My CA125 is rising. Has anyone has this happen? Any suggestions? Thank you.

Recurrence in Peritoneum
She explained that they'll stop the
Avastin
, and move instead to 6 sessions of Caelyx chemotherapy over six months, followed by taking a daily PARP inhibitor.

Small Increase NODE
We would like to wait longer as we think it would not be beneficial to start chemo as she has been on
avastin
which seems to be holding it off from growing aggressively. Has anyone been in a similar spot?
