Advice, please. My left knee has been niggling for a couple of weeks and I have tried Deep Heat and a neoprene leg support for when I'm not active. Can any of you recommend a support to wear whilst I'm running? There are lots out there, but I'm like a child in a sweet shop and can't decide. It's on the

Struggling with ectopics and enlarged left ventricle
Hello, I am new to this group. I am feeling very nervous and worried as I have been struggling for sometime with ectopic beats, now been told my left ventricle is enlarged as is my heart. Hoping medication will improve things, otherwise I will be placed on the heart transplant list. I am 48 and had surgery

Can’t believe it
I had a silent heart attack last Wednesday and an angioplasty Saturday, at home now resting but it doesn’t feel like I had an attack and can’t believe it. The angioplasty seems like a bad dream. Bit uncomfortable and slight pain but surreal feeling anyone else feel or felt like this

Measuring pain
This is a question is for all the ladies who have had a heart bypass. I am frequently asked how painful the procedure was. Well I had my first child over 50 years ago ( not by Caesarian ) and if I could compare I would say child birth was by far the most painful. It is something still in my mind now

Financial Help for Urgent Heart Surgery due to COVID-19 NHS Long Waiting Times

Preserved LV Systolic function
Does anyone know what this is? This was on a letter as diagnosis from cardiologist to my GP in addition to paroxysmal atrial fibrillation but was never mentioned to me.

Post surgical nerve pain issues?
I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with nerve pain following mastectomy surgery? I had a bilateral mastectomy 4 month ago had really bad nerve pain after the surgical drugs wore off. After 6 weeks I had a nerve block done. It really helped for quite a while but now I am having issues - tightness

Is there no pattern to this AFIB stuff?
My episodes have increased to almost once a month which is very disappointing because they used to be almost a year apart. I go to emergency & get chemically converted. PIPs have not worked. Last year, an IV of metoprolol (beta blocker) got me back into normal sinus rhythm, but the last couple of times

How many here like us had needed heart surgery postponed in last 12 months? Still waiting? Hoping for it to be in this next COVID lull?
Still concerned that some Trusts, NHS generally not attending to non-COVID life threatening, time critical surgeries as they should be.

Chest Pains.
I keep getting chest pains but had X-rays for my chest and it is all normal. They keep saying it is muscular pain but I have taken everything they give me and nothing seems to work.

Unexpected Fast AF
I posted earlier about some AF which started this morning at 0130. I took various Kardia readings and discovered that the heart was beating at about 75-85 bpm for several hours. When I got up at about 0900, however, the reading shot up to 146 bpm, then, very surprisingly, 10 minutes later after taking

What are the particular coronary artery disease risk factors from Hashi’s?
Case: ECG reading in a healthy, non-smoking, young person (42) with Hashimoto’s that indicates possible coronary artery disease. Question: What is the most likely Hashimoto’s connection to this kind of reading / heart disease? Background: No thyroid or vitamin tests done in hospital. Most recent TSH
