Preserved LV Systolic function

Does anyone know what this is? This was on a letter as diagnosis from cardiologist to my GP in addition to paroxysmal atrial fibrillation but was never mentioned to me.

Sounds like the left venticle is working fine.

Thanks Bob

When you have an echocardiogram, they measure how strongly the left ventricle (LV) of your heart is pumping. This is reported as the “ejection fraction” (EF).The left ventricular ejection (LVEF) is normally around 60 %. This means 60 % of the blood in the LV is being pumped though the aortic valve with each beat, otherwise described as systolic function.

Preserved LV systolic function means your left ventricle is pumping well.
