What dose of Flecainide were others given for chemical cardioversion?
I have just had a big weekend in hospital for treatment of my second bout of AF. First one was 2 years ago and had cardioversion. I have had funny beats now and then but no AF until Saturday night. My cardiologist had advised me to present to A and E for pill in pocket trial when I next got AF so that

Well, you don’t look ill.
I don’t know about you but over the years I’ve hear that hundreds of times. I was diagnosed in 1989 at the age of 24 after repeated Uveitis episodes resulting in an Atropine injection in my eyeball and 3 weeks later steroid in what looked like a spider sack under my eye. With skin issues and joint

Calling nebuliser users! RE: Help with choosing a new one
Having just found out that my Aquilon2 nebuliser was recalled in February (due to the manufacturer still marketing and distributing it after the withdrawal of the CE accreditation) I’m looking to buy a new nebuliser compressor. I have the older version of the Omron micro-air for when I’m out and about

Venesections
I have PV and have been on daily aspirin and hydroxy since March. My first venesection in February was no problem, the second was also fine but with slightly reduced blood-pressure at the end. I confidently attended hospital for my third yesterday morning. I've never minded needles and I'm not squeamish

Severe asthma and lots of attacks (? Allergy related), any advice during wait to see consultant?
My meds were changed in October last year (simbicort to fostair) as I was taking ventolin every day, and my chest really didn't like fostair. I had a really fast, severe attack (pretty much ok to totally unable to breathe in about 15 minutes) in December, with similar symptoms in Feb and March - akin

Unable to clear mucus from throat
My husband coughs non stop, his throat muscles are too weak to bring anything up. I have heard that travel sickness patches can help dry up mucus and also atropine drops. Has anyone tried these or can advise. He is coughing all the time night and day.

Bradycardia - had enough, going round in circles
Hi, My heart rate usually runs in the 40's but can be often in the 30's - as recorded in hospital and via machines. I am a 37 year old Mum and have had suffered from episodes for years, ranging from needing atropine to boost me after a procedure, to excessive yawning, greyness, sweating and hairs standing

Runny nose, rhinorrhea, Atrovent
I developed a cough from nasal drip that wouldn't go away. No sore throat. The cough would really act up around mealtime. My movement disorder specialist prescribed me Atrovent nasal spray. After a week my cough and runny nose has lessened. It's a relief. I was surprised to not find any similar posts

Secretions and Saliva
Mum is deteriorating fast. She is end stage with a peg, sleeping 24hrs. We're having serious problems with secretions, saliva and moaning. Suction is taking place multiple times during the day, the night is always worse with us having to use suction on and off over a period of 2hrs. It builds up so
