Nebuliser
Hi I have mixed airways disease, but also severely restricted lung function due to curvature of spine. I'm on atrovent, flixotide and venolin. Use via a spacer. It has been suggested by Brompton that it may help to get my inhalers (not Flixotide) into my lungs more efficiently if I use a nebulisor.

Atropine drops useful?
I hear of atropine drops being given for excessive salivation and am wondering why my husband's doctor has never mentioned them.He has taken glycoprylate for years supposedly to help with this condition but recently while in hospital a different Dr. said the glycoprylate would make it worse and took

Thick Saliva - Confused
My mum is in late stages of this horrid illness. She has been on atropine drops which were working so well but now does not seem to be as effective. The build up of thick salvia is causing mum to cough for 15-20 minutes at a time. We're looking for a suction machine, but confused as to which one is the

Foradil and Qvar
Hi is anyone on these two inhalers. I have been on them for 18years. I found them very good but just lately I find I have to take a puff of Atrovent in between. I find the weather affects me dreadfully in Ireland. I also have a nebuliser whuch I take if I am really not well but thankfully it not often

Just out of hospital
For the first time I spent 4 nights in hospital due to an asthma attack. I arrived in hospital on Tuesday evening by ambulance. I was then treated in A&E. I was then moved to an observation ward for the night. However, my chest did not settle and I continued to need nebs throughout the night. Therefore

Drugs/Side Effects/Lack of Sleep and CHC
Because of hallucinations, we changed from Atropine drops to Hyoscin patches, then lived in a nightmare for 48 hours. B. was acting as if he had a UTI, trying to get out of bed , constantly babbling and tossing and turning. I had four hours sleep the first night and one hour and twenty minutes the second

Hello Asthma friends
Spring turned into winter with fresh snow on the mountains. I am aching a lot. Apart from all the tests under the sun, like coloscopy and immunology, things are better. I am tapering down the Seretide 250mg. They are not sure I have asthma. They think it is the dyspnea from the LAM (lymphangioleiomyomatosis

Review and Spirometry Test - Result.
Well I gave it my best pppppppppppppppppuuuuuufffffffffffffff - gasp! But it wasn't good enough for my Respiratory Matron who was expecting an improvement over last months effort. I didn't bother looking at the printout. I have already established that old age will finish me long before COPD gets a chance

Fast beats after Atropine Eye Drops
Wondering if anyone has had a reaction to Atropine Eye Drops, the ones they put in to dilate pupils for eye investigations. I have had them before with no problems, but yesterday I reacted badly, feeling unwell with numb face, near fainting, then awake during the night with fast heart beats, around
