Inhaler caused acute laryngitis?
I don't know if anyone can help me on this one. I've got laryngitis and have been speaking in a dodgy way for over a week - it's driving me mad because I've been told I need to rest my voice and I'm a real chatterbox! I've been reading up on laryngitis and I've found a reference that says some asthma

respiratory allergy?
Hi everyone I am new here and am not sure I am even on the right forum as I dont know what my diagnosis is. :( The doctor has given me a vague ''respiratory allergy'' tag which I am confused by and I don't even know what I am allergic to. I am really hoping someone out there recognizes my symptoms

My Intro...
I was applying for life insurance and submitted a blood sample. So got a letter back saying that my PSA was at 42 so I better check that out. So after a visit with a urologist, I was diagnosed with PC with a call from my urologist on Friday December 31, 2008 at 5:30pm on New Year’s Eve! He could have

My Intro - Ned in St Louis
I was diagnosed at age 60, in Aug 2010, with 12 positive cores out of the 12 sampled in my biopsy! I had lost my mother to colon cancer when she was age 59, and my secret goal was to at least make it past that age. The urologist called me, very concerned with those results, the DAY AFTER my 60th birthday

Very high peak flow, but very hard to breath!
I'm a bit scared lately and need help. I take a purple inhaler now having previously used Clenil Modulite and Serevent. I also have Ventolin which I am needing more and more of now, despite the improving weather etc. I never cough or wheeze, but I do get some chest tightness, visial disturbance, burning

From very mild to uncontrolled asthma
Hi everyone I'm Sam. 27 years old and I've had asthma since I was a small boy. Only, I don't feel like I've had asthma at all up until this summer. Prior to that I could count the times I needed to use my blue inhaler in any given year on one hand, it was just something that didn't really effect me

Newly diagnosed and Unsure of Myself
Hello I went to my doctor because I was having difficulty breathing and was not sure what it was. I was a bit worried as I've had breast cancer twice so was worried if it was something sinister. For this reason I hadn't been to the doctors for longer than I should but hope you may appreciate why. I'd

Somewhat belated introduction!
I probably should have introduced myself before posting about the woes of my asthma and commenting…sorry :) I am 17yo, biologically female but identify as male. Which kind of sucks but hey, that's life. I have 'hayfever', eczema and asthma (you would never have known that, would you?), and I suffer

Just diagnosed with asthma
Hi, 11 days ago my Doctor said it seems I've developed adult onset asthma, after being poorly for 4 months with various colds/coughs. He's given me a preventer inhaler to take am & pm (Clenil Modulite), and a blue inhaler to take whenever I need it. How long does it normally take for the brown inhaler

clenil modulite problems
Hi, so I've just been taken off my usual flutiform inhaler as the asthma doctor said that the long acting reliever was shopping me sleeping and they've put me on clenil modulite 200 2 puffs 2x day. However, whenever I try and take this inhaler (via spacer) it makes me cough so much that it doesn't stay

Hello and confusion
Hiya, I've been lurking for a year or so, so first of all hello, and thanks for all the useful advice thats on here. I had asthma as a child which I thought I'd grown out of but it came back quite persistently 2 years ago - after a period of being pretty unwell, I've been really well controlled since

Symbicort not Working Properly?
I have been on symbicort (alternating between 200/6 and 400/12 during flare ups) for the past year, which I know is a combination of formoterol & busesonide. Prior to this, I was on a clenil modulite inhaler (200mcg twice daily) which I believe was a different steroid (beclometasone dipropionate?) The
