Managing intermittent asthma - how do I know when to use inhaler?
Hello all I have cough variant asthma but only when I have a major physical stress in my life. Examples are third trimester of pregnancy (when I was first diagnosed); pneumonia about 7 years ago (hospitalised twice for 4 days each) and chest infections. Colds don't trigger asthma symptoms. I am, I know

Seretide is it the answer?
Hello I've had asthma since I was born and it seems worse controlled than ever with lots of exacerbations oral steroids and thrush in my throat and airways. I stopped my nasal sprays earlier this year and switched to nasal washing and that seems to have improved things, it's certainly stopped the thrush

New here -consultant referal - what can I expect?
Hi all, I'm new here. Thought I'd sign up and ask a few things since I've been lurking the forum quite a lot over the past weeks and it's been very useful. I was diagnosed about five years ago by a respiratory consultant I was refered to due to anaphylaxis/general allergy issues (no allergy specialists

Need advice about medication
Okay so I went to my doctor last week because my current Reliever and Preventer are causing irritation. I currently take Terbutaline ( Bricanyl) and the Preventer Budesonide. I've been taken off the Budesonide and been given Clenil Modulite. However I have never gotten on with Clenil and as expected

Did your health deteriarate all at once?
I had an appointment with a chest specialist at hospital on the 30th January, but as soon as he saw my medication (Clenil Modulate, Atrovent and
Atimos
modulite
which I was fine with) he changed me onto Spiriva and Seretide 500.

Hello.
Hi, I've just found this website after googling. My son is 2yrs 4mths and has fairly bad asthma. We are in the early stages of diagnoses but its been a hard battle. Henry takes a puff of Clenil Modulite morning and night and 2 puffs of Ventalin morning and night. He's recently been started on Singulair

Clenil modulite makes me cough
Hi Sorry if this question has been asked and answered before, but since clenil is often used to treat cough an internet serach for this is not very easy! I'm in the process of being diagnosed with asthma. I've been prescribed clenil, which I've been taking for the past 5 days. It seems to be helping

Problems with Clenil Modulite inhaler
I've been on Clenil for three years now but recently keep finding that the inhaler gets blocked and isn't providing the dose properly. I've had three different clenil inhalers do this. My latest I've only had a couple of weeks, so I know it's not low. I've tried rinsing the plastic in water to clean

My 2.5yr old son has asthma
Hi My 2.5year old son has finally been diagnosed with asthma even though it has been clear to me for almost a year. Only one doctor would agree it was asthma the rest were very reluctant to commit to anything other than wheezy bronchilitis. He has been in hospital 3 times in the past month and his medication

Hi, I'm new to these forums, although not new to asthma, but have a question I hoping someone on here might know the answer to. child using corticosteroids for first time
Hello! I am a newbie to this site. I would be grateful for some advice. My 11-year-old son has been prescribed Clenil Modulite preventer inhaler. I am worried because my son gets asthma quite rarely. He will go 2 - 3 months with no symptoms, even after major exertion. Then he will have a week or so

inhaler side effects
Hi there, My 2 1/2 year old daughter suffers from a persistant ""virally induced wheeze"" which the doctor says she'll likely grow out of (no family history of asthma). It seems to be worse in the cold wet months, she's had 3 ""attacks"" in the last 5 weeks, two hospital trips through breathing difficulties
