Nosebleeds
Does anyone taking nifedipine get nose bleeds? If so any way of stopping them (not involving stopping nifedipine as I find it does keep me at least a bit warmer)

What kind of specialist is best to find out if you have Raynauds?
I am still not sure if I have Raynaud's or not. It started last April with freezing cold hands. They are ALWAYS cold, they never get warm. And some of the fingers are a bluish red. I had an appointment with a rheumatologist, where nothing came out of it. She arranged for all kind of blood tests which

Cardiomyopathy- looking for some advice.
Hi, I’m looking for a bit of advice as I’ve recently developed some new symptoms. I’m 24 and I have cardiomyopathy (as well as a neuromuscular condition) I have been on 50mg of atenolol once a day for 8 years and typically have no issues. I last saw my cardiologist 12 months ago who was so happy with

Swollen painful fingers, systemic sclerosis
Hi all, Wondered if anyone here suffers the same symptoms in their fingers/hands/arms? For nearly a year my fingers are swollen/puffy, which makes them impossible to curl and painful too. I can't lift or grip things unless they are lightweight (I'm only 42 years old) From January to May they were

I'd love to hear success stories about taking Buspirone for anxiety
I have had different degrees of anxiety my whole life. This has ranged from constant worry to full blown panic attacks for days on end. I was prescribed Celexa some years ago and didn't do well on it. I've tried to live my life the best I could while dealing with this disorder. Recently I had a major

Atenolol and Ramilpril - Acid reflux
I started Antenolol 25mg 2 weeks ago and was advised to take it in the morning and to alter taking Ramipril 5mg from in the morning which I have done for years, to taking it in the evening. But the acid reflux I suffer from and take esomeprazole for has suddenly flared up since the above. My reflux

Sibo & Medications
I have had diffuse systemic scleroderma since 2011, I am 71 years of age. I had my first bout of sibo a year ago, for which I was prescribed metronidazole followed by co-amoxiclav, that worked perfectly. I have recently had another episode of sibo & took the same drugs, but it seems to be coming back

Blood test question
I need to book next blood tests. I’ve always had my bloods done first thing, no food or hot drinks, no thyroid meds until after test etc. I’m not sure whether I need to do this any more. I’ve been on T3/T4 combo since November 2020. I have raised cholesterol, average results around 7, was 8 and has been

Coming off Flecainide (for PVC's) and possible Ablation for Teenager
Hi! I would really appreciate if you would please read my bio for the back story to this question as it has a history, but I will give a brief overview below. My daughter (14) is going to be weaned off Flecainide soon to see if her heart has 'fixed' itself after suddenly starting to misbehave in April

Can anyone give me some info please?
I have been waiting for a heart monitor since February, and when I enquired about it, apparently the GP had forgotten to ask about it. I now have an appointment to get one on 22nd August. I was feeling that I was going to faint, so she cut my atenolol from 50mg to 25 mg, which has helped, but heart still

Beta Blockers and Vagal Afib
So in a small comment on a blog a year or two ago I saw a doctor state that beta blockers can actually irritate vagal afib. As I was coming up to my colonoscopy last week, I started taking 1 atenolol in the morning again just as a safety thing because I was worried all the digestive uproar would cause

changing med for Afib
I was having a lot of lightheadedness and dizziness so my doctor Put me on only one atenolol pill and left me on 2 Flecainide and also took me off of my blood pressure pill. This Seem to be a change as I have been on a blood pressure pill for many many years. I will let you know how it turns out.

Switch from Diltiazem to Atenolol for SVT
Hi I have been on 90mg slow release Diltiazem twice a day for SVT, after being unable to tolerate 5mg Bisoprolol. Still not seeing much improvement.
