Ectopic humbug
I was diagnosed with ectopic beats 43 years ago and prescribed 50mg atenolol a day ever since. Is served me well. Suddenly I have low blood pressure, light headedness, shortness of breath, hot flushes, and I feel like a wreck! I now have 33,000 ectopics every night. I stopped taking the tablets but

All new to me! Help!
Hi! I’m just looking for some advice and support really. This is all so new to me! I was referred to a specialist in September 2017 after experiencing some dodgy symptoms along with quite severe Raynaud's which I have had since a young teenager. I’ve also always been prone to infections. My specialist

Hello, Looking for advice, and am posting on my phone so I’ll try to keep short. In December I went to the ER with what the doctor said was Afib. My heart rate wasn’t fast just beating irregularly. Since that time I’ve had PVC’s every night when I lay down to go to sleep. I was taking atenolol which

Hi I’m kirsty131 and have been unwell for two years, started with memory loss/fog and palpitations, in 2016 I was diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia and was put on propranolol lowest to maximum dose until I was hallucinating! I have had all the heart tests and it showed I had three out of four

Anti coagulation
Hi Everbody Two years ago I had cyroablation at Barts Hospital . My A.F was very bad prior this procedure, although now I have occasional attacks of AF, missed beats. I still take Flecanide and Atenolol to control my heart. I work night shifts a few times a month and afterwards I invariably have a jumpy

How long for dronedorone to work?
I'm new here, have had under-control AF for years with Atenolol, but now it has suddenly stopped working and doc put me on Eliquis and Multaq (dronederone). How long is a reasonable time for dronederone to work on lessening the AF symptoms? I've been on 5 days and my AF has not improved. I appreciate

New at Going to War With Afib
Was OK for years on Atenolol only, but now I’m dealing with daily flutters/lightheadedness. So now I’m a few days into Eliquis 5m and Multaq 400 m. Doc says I’m looking ahead at ablation here in Orlando. I’m retired high school English teacher, and I’m looking forward to participating in the community

Is it ok to take ubiquinol when taking Apixaban and Bisoprolol also Nature-throid?
Hi I have been reading the posts for a long time but not had courage to join in! I was told I had AF after having a stroke in hospital 2 years ago. I was due to be discharged following tests that day but got swiftly taken to stroke unit. I feel I was very lucky to be in hospital when the stroke happened

Theres many a story to tell
Since 1998 when I first went to see why I was feeling dizzy lightheaded and had a rapid Heart beat I am still in the dark as to reasons why after all these years I have not yet fully understood my condition.( they never knew what they know now) They said I had A/F, Atrial Fibrillation, it began there

Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation (intermittent AF)
Hi, I am new to the group and would like to ask if anybody else out there has a similar diagnosis as myself. After approx 8 years since my last bad AF experience which was medicated by Atenolol (then changed to Bisoprolol) and cutting out a lot of triggers e.g Smoking, Stimulants and other youthful acts

Amlodipine for Raynaud's?
I was diagnosed with Raynaud's (cold hands) about 5 years ago, and my doctor put me on Nifedipine ER which has helped significantly. I just got a notice from my drug insurance provider that for next year they will no longer covers the cost of Nifedipine, and suggest Amlodipine Besylate instead. The
