Obtained my results as advised by the community, after being advised by GP to go for repeat test in 4-6 weeks as borderline thyroid issue...
Hi Just done the repeat blood test for thyroid and as I asked why my B12 was so high they are retesting B12 in case of a mistake in the lab. (I was expecting a low B12, as my sister has B12 injections, she is hypothyroid, Hashimotos and has MS. Mum and auntie also the hypothyroid condition. I don't

Sotalol
Has anyone had the same problems as me with 80mg twice per day of Sotalol and swapped to another Beta blocker. Side effects I am getting are aching legs that don’t to walk far. Feeling tired lethargic and quite depressed at times so going to seek advice after new year to see if there are any alternatives

DO YOU FEEL YOU "DOCTORS" ARE MONITORING "YOUR" MED INTERACTIONS AS CLOSELY AS THEY SHOULD ?*
I HATE Being Dependent On Meds !* I Read ALL About Them Too. Side Effects & The Whole Nine Yards. These Are The One's Right Now: Xanax Oral, celecoxib Oral, tizanidine Oral, omeprazole Oral, Paxil Oral, Hyzaar Oral, bisoprolol fumarate Oral, & nifedipine Oral . What Do They ALL Have In Common ?

Beta blockers and Diabetes
Hi everyone. I’ve been taking Atenolol for 3 months after coming off Bisoprolol and feel so much better. I have to go for a medication review later with GP and have been reading up on both of these beta blockers. It appears that most of these can cause diabetes which I have now been diagnosed with! I

New Drug Regime
My EP said today that we need to take an aggressive approach to get my AF/tachycardia under control. I was very nervous when he mentioned Amiodarone as I have read so many horror stories about it but he said he will only keep me on it for a couple of months. I’m also going onto Atenolol and staying on

SVT, IST, Long QT syndrome.
Hi all, I was wondering if there is anyone out there with these three things like me. I have been ill for a little over a year since my gallbladder was taken out. Just wondering if anyone else has IST, SVT and long QT? And how are you doing?. I was only diagnosed with these three on May and not suitable

Graves and Beta Blockers
Morning, Coming up to week 4 of medication (40mgs carbimazole) and I’m pleased to report that I’m feeling so much better. I’m back to work next week. My question is when do you stop the beta blockers? I have had to switch from atenolol to propranolol to bisoprolol due to asthma symptoms. I’m desperate

Atenolol and Propanolol together? Or tips on switching? Help please, need advice!
My P.C. had me on Atenolol 75mg a day for tremor, anxiety, and high resting rate of 120bpm. I asked for Propanolol instead, as it seems more for my situation. The problem is he said to immediately stop Atenolol, and begin 10mg of Propanolol once a day. Atenolol works for 24hrs, where Propanolol is

Teen support?
Hello everyone. I’ve just joined on behalf of my 14 year old daughter who was diagnosed with Raynauds a couple of years ago. It is in the family. I have two questions please. First, are there any support groups for young people, or indeed teenage members here? The problems she has at school with Raynauds

Getting bitten by mosquitoes! Do I need to be concerned?
So I've just come back from a lovely 10 day holiday in Barcelona and then Majorca, and it was so lovely and relaxing after my exams. Luckily it appears that I haven't got any photosensitivity but I have been bitten all over my right calf by the local bugs despite using DEET! I'm usually very bug repellent

Newly Diagnosed
After suffering with Raynaud’s for a couple of years I finally saw a rheumatologist about 6 weeks ago. Blood tests reveal that I am anticentromere antibody positive with Systemic Sclerosis, which I understand used to be called CREST Syndrome. She has organised a whole host of further tests, bloods, X-rays

Constant Head Pressure
I have been having pressure in my head pretty much all the time. I also have some dizziness and occasional pain and more frequent bowel movements. This has been going on for almost 2 months now. I have hypothyroidism for which I take Levothyroxin. I just had my TSH level checked in June and my med
