Ablation ... one week on
This time last week I was back in my room in the CCU after ablation number 4. Now I’m feeling like I could go out and run a marathon (but I won’t 😉). Seriously though, I can’t believe how well I feel. I don’t know when the last time was that I had a week in normal sinus rhythm. I have tiny bruises

Primary Raynauds not CREST
I’m really confused. The gp I spoke with a few weeks ago was great and advised bloods to check for crest. I’ve just seen a different gp for results and apparently everything is fine apart from low folate. Although she has put me on nifedipine stating she thinks I may have had Raynauds for a long time

Hello, all you good people... I am 9 months post-ablation (shouldn't my new heart be born by now hahaha?). I've had very few actual Afib episodes, but I still get ectopics and sometimes the occasional unexplained run of elevated heart rate, which is sometimes marked "unclassified" on my Kardia. Anxiety

Raynaud's - open sore and general confusion!
Hi! MY BACKGROUND: I was diagnosed with Raynaud's in early 2015, after suffering with it for around 2 years previously. My toes are affected much more than my fingers, and from time to time I have developed chillblains and sore areas on my toes during the winter months. I get discolouration, the numbness

Atenolol and adrenaline?? Anxiety??
I have recently been put back on low dose atenolol. The reason is I had another afib attack which I havnt had in 5 years! I also have horrible anxiety. The 3 days I have been back on atenolol have been a blessing. All of the racing heart from anxiety is gone. No more ups and downs just regularity. Like

Detox off beta blockers
I’m currently on beta blockers. Atenolol 50mg. Heart tests clear apart from left branch block when heart rate goes above 150 bpm when training. I want to detox off them. Has anyone done this? If so can you suggest safe way to do it with little side effects. Thanks.

However, my gastroparesis symptoms returned...nauseous in morning and increased bloating throughout the day. I am now back on 60mg. and am

Anyone had success with Tadalafil for treating severe Raynauds?
Hello all I have Systemic Sclerosis and Secondary Raynauds. Have tried (all separately) Nifedipine, Losartan 75mg, then Sildenfil, GTN patches, combined Losartan and Fluoxetine all with NO success. Professor Denton has mentioned that I am a candidate for Tadalifil. Just wondering if anyone has had success

Anxiety+panic, side effects from meds, let down by GP
Hello, I had panic attacks 20 years ago and avoided a lot. The attacks stopped over time (2years) and I was symptom free until 2 years ago. Had first one at airport, second a year later at my mother s home, since then depression crept in, constant worrying. GP put me on Prothiaden, an antidepressant

Hi I'm new, have Reynauds and am. Exhausted
I've suffered from Reynauds symptoms for as long as I can remember. I'm 40 and have finally found a gp willing to listen who has prescribed nifedipine. Just over a year ago bloods showed I'm deficient in vitamin d. I'm exhausted, cold, itchy, have on and off heart burn and constipation. Also suffering

Not a bad appointment
I attend my rheumy appointment today and it went quite well. She’s put me back on my leflunomide and 2 weekly blood monitoring. If my liver goes up again she’ll send me for a scan to have a look. She’s going to push my physio referral again as I’m still waiting. She’s given me nifedipine to try and

What a day
I saw my EP this morning and he’s taken me off Amiodarone (yay!). I’m not sure how I’ll go when it eventually gets out of my system. I’m still on Digoxin and Atenolol but even the 3 drugs together weren’t controlling things fully. He was discussing the prospect of another ablation. This will be number

A Bad Day
Today was what I qualify as a "bad day" for me mentally. I had trouble sleeping this morning (I work overnights, so I stay up all night and go to bed around 7 AM, even on my day's off), so it was 11 AM before I remember my eyes closing. I was dosed well on atenolol and hydroxyzine (beta blocker/antihistamine
