lowered platelets
I am taking
aspirin
only . Yesterday at my monthly lab appt my platelet count dropped to 370. Could I have been misdiagnosed and maybe my platelets were high due to something else that was going on in my body? Or does Jak2 positive / high platelets always point to ET diagnosis?

Visit to the dentist
I am on daily
aspirin
and 500mg x 10 tablets weekly as I have ET. I am seeing a new dentist as my previous one retired. I have told him about my diagnosis and treatment and am due to start treatment to have crowns removed and possibly root canal work done or possible extraction.

I’ve been on daily

Is Aspirin needed for Et
I’ve just listened to the vlogcast with Alicia O’Sullivan and heard her say that
aspirin
is not required for ET just for PV. I was told that it was needed for ET to stop the platelets sticking together. Any thoughts please. Thanks Irene

Someone was talking about skin cancer
One
aspirin
(acetylsalicylic acid) crushed and an equal dab of psoriasis cream (salicylic acid) they're cousins both at dollar tree. NIH posted it. Mix together put on spots every 3 days or continue and whatever it is will slowly peel off. Redo if it reappears.

ET , Jak2 positive.
Having being diagnosed with ET last August, I have been on
aspirin
only until my haematologist said that with platelets rising to 540 I should start hydroxycarbamide 500mg daily. I was also prescribed Allopurinol, 300mg daily. Has anyone else been prescribed Allopurinol?
