I have a question about ESA
Hi everyone hope you are all as well as can be. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hands wrists shoulders hips and kness and also fibromyalgia about 18 months ago. I filled in a form for ESA back in August and I haven't heard anything? I was wondering how long it takes and if you get accepted

Just started out with this app
I’m 55, haven’t run for over 20 years and have developed arthritis in my knees and ankles in that time. I looked up online if I should start running again and got conflicting advice so have decided to make a start and see how it goes. My aim is to take part in the local park run 5K in nine weeks

Biopsy confirmed
So my rheumatologist had had my biopsy looked at by her major hospital and they confirmed also the giant cell
arteritis
diagnosis. However after being on 80 mg of prednisone 9 days I still have some symptoms with pain in my right Temple.

California wildfires and stress/- update
I live in Northern California and have been enduring power blackouts for weeks. Today we have the 4th blackout in 3 weeks and are being told the blackouts could go on go another month as there is no rain in the forecast. Thank goodness no fires have started near me and I haven’t had to evacuate!

Is It All Too Much?
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia back in 2010 after having a barrage of tests. As you all know there is not one test that says you do have it, they have to exclude other conditions first. Like most of you I googled it and found some good support and information websites this being one of them. All

A Hello and a thank you!
This site has been a true God send for me over the past year, since I was diagnosed with Giant Cell

. Thanks to all the helpful people on here, I've been able to find answers that my doctors merely shrugged off or couldn't answer.

Saw Rheumy at HSS - New York - Question for You?
Hi Folks, Saw really good rheumy and she had some good info and advice (as well as taking 8 vials of blood out of me. Talk about thorough...) She said as I taper that she was not in love with the idea of me hitting extra pain here and there with Advil (ibuprofen), and prefers that I use Tylenol (paracetemol

All about Arthritis and the Ignored foods that can worsen arthritis

Safety of low dose glucocorticoids
Wandering through the internet looking for something else I found this interesting and encouraging summary of recent research: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/860368 Basically doses of 5 and lower are safe for long term treatment of diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Doses above 10 are potentially

Wet weather
This wet weather is playing havoc with my osteoarthritis. I take duloxetine and celecoxib and also do codamol if I have a bad flare up but nothing helping. My back and legs ache all the time and I'm constantly getting large bruises and sweating profusely . It's difficult to do any housework

Does this sound normal for osteoarthritis?
Hello everyone, I am 31 and since I was around 17 I started to notice a pain in my right wrist. I couldn't put any weight on it or it would ache. I went to the doctors and I was sent away without even being examined. I went back over the years (about my wrist but also because I have a lot of other issues

FOOT FOR THOUGHT
Hi All. I am a single male with high BMI 47.6 and need to lose weight due to Osteoarthritis and diabetes. I also have a ulcer on my heal and currently wearing two Aircast walkers and supported by crutches. I need good sensible eating advice, none of the fancy stuff. If anyone can help that will be great
