Post EP Ablation
I went into AF after getting sick from food poisoning/belly bug in early Feb23. I stayed in AF and had shortness of breath after being released from hospital. I was put on Diltiazem at that time. I saw my heart dr early Mar23. Then a week later I saw my heart rhythm dr. He put me on Propafenone

Mis-Information on Internet. BE CAREFUL
I have had afib for 30+ years now and I should know better. I googled afib and dark chocolate which I know is a NO_NO as it has always caused me to go into afib, but I was reading a study from a supposed Dr. who said dark chocolate can help prevent afib episodes. I knew this to be not true but guess

multaq
Hello, I am posting this for my mother. She has Afib and her doctor prescribed Multaq and she finally started taking it. She thinks it is making her feel dizzy. Has anyone had this side effect? My mom is very sensitive to medications. Thank you in advanced.

Side Effects from Metoprolol 25mg
I am taking Metoprolol 25mg halved twice a day for AFib and having side effects of almost passing out or a weird feeling of like I would be passing out which has happened twice now. I'm taking it with Eliquis. Is anyone else having this symptom?

cellulitis againā¦.
Ugh! Woke up at 5am bank holiday weekend and realised I have cellulitisā¦ No GP cover so 40 minutes holding for NHS 111 and now on 2 hour wait for GP call back to get some antibiotics. Why does it always turn up at the most inconvenient time? Tried to explain to the call handler that, although I can

Almost died of flu, pneumonia and sepsis - will the fear of death go away?
Hi all, I'm so happy there's an online community for people who've been in an ICU! I'm 53 years old and prior to this thought I was really healthy. I'm a hillwalker and regularly climb large Scottish mountains. The consultants in the hospital kept referring to me as "young and fit" which does wonders

Adizem Slow Release and Flecainide
Does anyone take these 2 drugs for blood pressure and Afib? I was on one 50mg Flecainide at night but due to increased episodes my dose has been increased by my Consultant to 50g morning and night with a 100mg pip. He also prescribed me 120mg Adizem slow release which I have been taking in the morning

post cardioversion
Hi, I was diagnosed with Afib after suffering a TIA in April 2021. Amioderone and xarelto controlled it until after 6 months amioderone caused my thyroid to quadruple. So stopped amioderone. After xarelto resulted in an internal hip bleed was switched to Eliquis. Had an ablation Jan 2023 so still

Experiencing higher sleeping HRV after stopping Flecainide
I had a cryoboalloon ablation the end of January and was kept on 2x 50mg Flecainide during the blanking period. I had no AF during the blanking period and wore a Zio patch for 7 days just before the 3 months was over. At the appointment the APRN said my Zio came back clean, with no AF, very few ectopic

Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) and Amiodarone
https://www.practiceupdate.com/C/152409/56?elsca1=emc_enews_topic-alert Awhile back, someone posted a link for the above site. It requires subscription (free) but has beneficial info on afib and other heart conditions. I cannot verify the veracity of the information but it does seem professional

Palpitations
I know about the risks of stroke when you have Afib, and I take Warfarin, but just out of interest, do ordinary palpitations, like PVCs and SVEs also present a risk ? Annie

Afib medications
I was diagnosed about half a year ago with Afib. I am trying to understand the medicines and their side effects better. I am currently on Amiodarone 200 mg and Metoprolol 50mg and have many unpleasant side effects. Need to get off these meds.

Afib alert on fitbit
hiya havenāt posted for a while but was wondering if anyone could give some advice on afib heart rate while sleeping. I had an alert this morning on my Fitbit that I had a possible afib attack during the night. My heart rate went down as low as 36 and as high as 146. Should I be alarmed by this

Feeling Disappointed
Following an ablation for SVT in January 2021 I have been problem free for two and a half years (at least heart wise). I began to feel breathless about three weeks ago and now am experiencing fairly regular runs of af. I have had an ablation for af in the past as well as surgery to repair leaky valves

Amiodarone + AFIB
Hi. Just wondered if anyone had experienced any adverse effects of taking Amiodarone? Iāve just completed week 1 of the āloading doseā (200mg x 3 times a day). Whilst it has reduced the AFib heart rate dramatically (from approx 160 to approx 110), it hasnāt stopped the AFib, which has become
