Is there an anti arrhythmia drug which doesn't have a side effect of nausea?
Me again. I've stopped taking amiodorane for over 72 hours and most of the nausea has gone. However, the afib symptoms have come back. I am dizzy, breathless and can feel a heart flutter some of the time. I had a phone call this morning with a date for a cardioversion but when I said that I

do inactive ingredients such as magnesium in my Lexapro decrease synthroid absorption?
do I need to separate Lexapro at least four apart from synthroid due to inactive ingredients such magnesium, aluminum, titanium. Is that why my thyroid want stabilize because I am taking to close together?

an Caffeine Trigger Near Syncope?
I quit drinking caffeinated coffee several months ago. My cardiologist told me I should avoid stimulants, as they can be AFib triggers, However, I have since seen studies concluding one or two cups of coffee per day should not trigger AFIb. So, as I was thinking about going back to my morning two-shot

Tummy Bug.
I recently had a tummy bug. I have a fib, and the effect on my heart was frightening. The straining with being sick caused a v bad pain in the centre left of my chest, where I imagine my heart and lung to be. Also it felt like a football was being kicked around in my chest. My heart rate was up in

Ectopic Beats and AF
Joys!!! After having weird chest sensations that make me feel dizzy and nauseous dr has decided I have ectopic beats. This may be while I’ve felt funny recently. I couldn’t decided if it was anxiety or my heart. Other than the AF my heart is structurally sound (for now) so any advice about ectopics

Never overweight, never smoked, drink wine modestly with dinner, however I am a small older woman. (82 this month🙏)I am active. Still play golf

Cellulitis absence...but I'm back
I've missed being on the forum with regularity, but..... In early June, while using my rollater in a drug store, one of the legs gave out, and to avoid the floor, I grabbed a shelf and hung on tight. When a few people held me upright, somehow, I had a nasty gash in my leg, a deep gouge, and a good-sized

atrial flutter and hot weather
I put a similar post on general BHF site but wondered if people with pre existing arythmia experienced anything similar in hot weather. Background is Aneurysm in ascending aorta and congenital bicuspid valve found incidentally in sept last year. Had 12 days early Oct last year with heart beat at 75

Heart Rate Spikes after Ablation
Hello, I am a 42 year old female. I was diagnosed with afib when I was 18. I played sports with this at times debilitating condition, all through college. I was in much better shape then. Anyway, I had an ablation in March 2022. So now I am 4 months post ablation. It seems the ablation has helped

Life is for living
I had a crappy week this week - work and domestic hassles abounded. So yesterday afternoon I took my beautiful wife to our local pub and we had a few drinks. Then we enjoyed a lovely Chinese meal with the family. Every AFib rule broken and yes, I had an episode. But instead of fighting it and becoming

Low iron levels
My doctor has advised me that my iron level is on the low side of the normal range. Should I take iron supplements to boost it as my doctor is happy to leave the levels as they are.

Today was NOT the day
All gowned, obs done, cannula in place ready for my TOE and ablation BUT INR still only 1.7 and consultant decided that either procedure was ill advised as I have a prosthetic aortic valve and INR of 1.7 is a dangerous level. We had a good long discussion about ablation for my atrial flutter and ultimately

High temperatures and Bisoprolol
I hope you are all coping with this heat In France we have been in the high 30s for a week I take Flecinide and 1.25 Bisoprolol daily. Since this hot weather my BP and pulse rate have plummeted and Afib returned Has anyone else experienced this? I am thinking of stopping Bisoprolol for

The Yo-yo of the blanking period
Hello All Just a little update . As you know I had a couple of Afib incidents in the days following my RF ablation. TThe EP had taken me off Flecainide and Bisoprolol immediately after the ablation. Following which I had some AFib. The EP put me back on the meds ( hope you are following!

Post-Ablation Afib Episode Causes?
I had my first cyro ablation in March after which I had a brief, 15-minute Afib episode and then a 4-hour and a 6-hour episode, all while off the flecainide which had kept episodes at bay for 10 months or more before the ablation. Now I am back on 100 mg. flecainide daily. Because my episodes are always

PACs instead of AFib
Started AF about 12yrs ago when an idiot dr overdosed my thyroid meds. Since then I have usually several episodes a year (lasts an average of 6 or so hrs and I take metoprolol as soon as it starts). I take hawthorn/magnesium glycinate/taurine/CoQ10 daily. Had my first episode this year in June and thought

Failed ablations
Just to ask people who got two, three even four ablations and still in Afib, did you ask your ep why it failed? Why do you keep seeing the same ep and keep doing the same thing over and over again knowing it will fail. There is out there many very skilled ep who got thousands of ablations under their
