Ongoing AF with low HR
My AF seems to be back after four blissfully trouble-free years (for AF that is, not life in general, lol) . It started last Wednesday out of the blue and has continued ever since. Occasionally I get a reading on my Kardia of Sinus Rhythm with Supraventricular Ectopy, which is what I thought it was

Low blood pressure following AF episode
Does anyone else experience low blood pressure after an episode of AF? I had an AF episode yesterday afternoon which continued until the early morning. Now my heart rate is back to normal sinus rhythm but my blood pressure is very low (87/52). This has been happening for the past few episodes and

AF after cardioversion
Wednesday, day 34 in AF , I will be having a cardioversion. I am aware that cardioversion is a band-aid, but I have had three ablations already. One year 10 months post third ablation, I was doing very well, especially the last four months in a beautiful normal b.p.m. range, aided by Propafenone. Due

Cardioversion not available on the NHS?
Hello all I was diagnosed with fast AF two years ago and put on 5mg bisoprolol which seemed to control it for about a year. The episodes then got closer together and more severe and my dose was upped to 7.5 and then 10mg. As this still did not bring the rate down Digoxin was added but seemed to make

Worried about all the anticoagulants I am taking ...
I have recent diagnosis of ET and mylofibrosis. Had gangrene in 5 th toe at Christmas...long story. I have been on Apixaban since 2016 for very infrequent Atrial Fib( only had 2 episodes in 4 years) and wonder now whether ET set this off. Atrial fibrillation and PMR
Had a pretty scary evening yesterday when I had 2 hours of intermittent rapid heartbeat top rate was 151. In between my rate never went below 80 at rest and my normal at rest these days is 60. Was dizzy, short of breath, and also had some chest pressure at the time. Cardiac background is I had an angiogram

BRCA2 mutation and PARP inhibitor in the castration sensitive
I took a genetic germ-line test showing I have the BRCA2 mutation, thanks to advice from https://www.prostatecancer.news/2019/10/olaparib-slows-progression-in-men-with.html The link shows promising results from using PARP inhibitors, however on (metastatic) castration resistant men who have already been

On this day in 2018, I had my first cardioversion. My heart had been stuck at 150bpm for three days. I was hospitalised, diagnosed with Atrial Flutter and given a cardioversion. I often liken it to to when you ring the IT Help Desk with a computer issue and they ask, “Have you tried switching it off

Hello I'm new here! A couple of questions about paroxysmal AF
Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with paroxysmal atrial fibrilation around 2009/10, and put on Aspirin and Bisoprolol indefinitely. I am now 43 years old. For years it's just came and went, maybe every few weeks. Recently the nature of it has changed. I discussed this with my GP and all they did was up

Residual risk of stroke after anticoagation in AF may not be due to the AF
