Supplements
I think I have missed over the years, many of the vitamins and supplements that people have taken that have more than anecdotal evidence. Some, via the internet, seems confusing to me. I have upped my exercise to include 3 days a week weightlifting and 6 days a week cardio. I want to improve muscle

Herpes Stress! I'm pregnant
I'm pregnant with my 3rd and contracted HSV2 herpes from my husband pre-marriage around 15 years ago. After the initial outbreak, I didn't have another episode for over 10 years! It was dormant and I forgot I had it. Now post children, I get regular & continued outbreaks. All stress related at the moment

How Should I Control my side effects?
I came to know about my ill health reasons. Actually, I wasn't taking anything proper food and supplements when I got pregnant. However, I started taking Melatonin, CoQ10, Myo-Inositol, DHEA, L-Arginine. They may have given some fertility boost leading me up to this mark. Though some weakness I felt

B12 or Hypothyroidism, or something else?
A lot of you will already know me on here. About a year ago, I sought advice, after the local doctor in Oman diagnosed me with severe B12 deficiency, but then only gave me some B Complex tablets to take, which did no good at all! I then found some B12 injections available, and started SI. I felt great

Other medication effecting Warfarin
Evening all, I hope you are well? I was wondering if anyone else uses the amino acid Lysine for coldsores and knows about its usefulness and any effects? All the information I have found out says it can increase the effect of Warfarin i.e:make my INR higher but mine seems to be doing the opposite! I

Steroid receptor coactivators
New paper below [1]. Abstract says little, but addresses a pet peeve of mine. In the endocrine system, you get a signal intended for a gland somewhere, which will secrete a hormone, destined for a distant location. Implicit is a feedback mechanism to stop the secretion. The prostate does not participate

Urinary metabolomics reveals glycemic and coffee associated signatures of thyroid function in two population-based cohorts
One of the fundamental questions about thyroid hormones is precisely what they do. Even from where we are today, with unbelievably sensitive techniques for investigating biochemical pathways, we end up saying things like "thyroid hormone affects metabolism". That sort of approach, whilst fundamentally

I haven't been on this forum for a while and I'm agreably surprised each time by the seriousness and expertise of the answers given to us sufferers from thyroid problems. Myself after many years of digestive probles, painful auto-immune arthritis and Hashimoto's disease I finally decided 3 months ago
