You client should discuss this with her doctors. Only they can advise on whether or not she would be ok to be without oxygen for a prolonged period of time. Or if she could have part of the treatment and have regular breaks.
Also I would get a second opinion as to whether or not she does need to come off oxygen for the entire process or just part of it.
I am on oxygen 24/7 and have been for 3 ½ years. Last year I broke a tooth (blooming toffee!) and my dentist mended it. I stayed on my oxygen the whole time. It took about 40 minutes. I have 4 monthly hygienist appointments which last 30 minutes and stay on my oxygen. I have never been asked to stop using it.
Thank you everyone for your replies. It's encouraging Millyboo that you are still receiving regular treatment and staying on oxygen. I need to do more research and try more surgeries to see how they operate and if they will take her as a patient.We do have a dental hospital quite close by, so that is worth considering.
