Trouble with concentrating and extreme fatigue
I’ve very recently come off my
antipsychotics
but haven’t noticed much of a difference yet. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this during recovery and if it got better with time.

Olanzapine indefinitely
I might want to stay on it indefinitely but I’m scared of things like tardive dyskinesia which can come on once you’ve been on
antipsychotics
for a long time. Is anyone here staying on Olanzapine indefinitely?

RLS or Akathisia or both?
I was on antidepressants and
antipsychotics
for 41 years. I tried to quit taking them in December 21 but had to go back on Zoloft at a low dose. I did quit Wellbutrin and Abilify and have been messed up ever since. I see where Abilify is strongly implicated in causing akathisia.

I also want to try and give some hope, I had my experience in 2021 and after a lot of
antipsychotics
and therapy I’m finally off everything but an anti anxiety med and I’m being discharged from therapy this week all being well!

Hi my journey is a little different.......
I had never experienced anything like this before or since and the doctors in the mental health unit said physical issues should be investigated; but this was not followed up I was placed on
antipsychotics
, and no physical-illness checks were done at all.

Hoping for some advice:)
The doctors put me on a very high dose of
antipsychotics
and ultimately when I can home I was completely numb to the point where I couldn’t really move or do anything and felt the most awful feelings I’d ever felt in my life.

Drug induced Parkinsons
That might be certain drugs that are called “Atypical
antipsychotics
” Here is a list of just a few other common drugs in that list. I hope this may help a few of you. There are also some other type of drugs that can cause it.

Any updates on Nuplazid?
I’d love to hear positive and negative experiences with
antipsychotics
to help weigh our decision here. Thanks!

Antipsychotics
my daughter who is 44 has had personality disorder problems since the age of 16. However she has managed a marriage and bringing up two teenage boys . She is now divorced but has a good friendly relationship with her ex. I hate to see some of the meds she seemingly has to take but the latest prescription

Thyroid Hormone Use in Mood Disorders: Revisiting the Evidence
Careful use of T3 and L-T4 can be critical mood-stabilizing options, especially for depressive illness that has not responded to first-line therapies, and can provide an alternative to other augmentation strategies such as atypical
antipsychotics
, lithium, or esketamine/ketamine.

Coming off antipsychotics
I wondered if anyone here had any first hand experience with coming off
antipsychotics
and wondered how long their withdrawal lasted? Thanks in advance

I switched
antipsychotics
due to potential weight gain but will probably go back to the original because it definitely helped more. My depression has been really bad lately, I hate working and don't feel like existing (not suicidal). Hopefully I can get out of this funk but who knows.

Hi, I’m in my mid-30s and have been on lithium and atypical-
antipsychotics
for the past 10 years. Two years ago a mental health clinic added zoplicone to the mix - so I’ve been taking 3.75mg (on a good night) to 15mg (when things are scary) every night.

A friendly cheer up to everyone on the PP recovery journey!
All those multiple side effects, all those weird sensations i had in my body due to meds - and i had so many of them on my journey (different 2nd and 3rd generation
antipsychotics
, different antidepressants, heavy tranquillisers) - it’s all reversible, all the side effects will be gone when you are off

Good evening
I was treated with
antipsychotics
and antidepressants for six months. And then, three months ago, I felt my feet. It was like an electric shock to my legs. And now-the current, the needles, the heat waves, the dull pain in my legs. The current makes my legs shake.
