I’ve been dealing with an OCD flare up for few months now. My anxiety was crippling. I was put on antidepressants, antipsychotics and benzos but none of it made my anxiety truly disappear. I came across an add on Facebook for a hemp product. I was so desperate and decided to give it a try. I honestly thought it won’t make any difference in my anxiety. Let me tell you not only stopped my anxiety but I don’t experience intrusive thoughts either. It might be a combo with my meds but if I stop using it I have intrusive thoughts. I’m not paid (although it would have been nice) to share my experience. I’m just very excited about the results. I wish I had found it before being put on all these prescriptions meds. Btw if anyone is interested the help product is called Magu. It’s on the expensive side but it’s better than suffering.

I'm glad you found something that helps you with your unwanted intrusive thoughts, but one needs to be careful. To determine whether a treatment is really effective for most people and in the long-term, one needs to conduct large-scale studies over a significant period of time.
Good that you've found something that works for you. A caveat - I don't know anything about this drug/supplement, but cannabis-based substances need to be approached with care. Some are entirely harmless - cannabis oil is healthy and can be bought in some supermarkets. But cannabis use has been known to cause psychosis.
If this can be bought legally and easily, then I don't suppose it's harmful - just to be careful!
The goal of OCD treatment isn’t to reduce or eliminate distressful feelings. We have tried to do that with compulsions. The goal is to accept uncertainty and realize that we are capable of dealing with distressing things. When we do this, we are empowered to deal with OCD related distressful feelings. Using hemp would be a self-medicating technique that may help temporarily but not long-term. It would be like when someone self-medicates with alcohol or other substances to numb emotional pain. It doesn’t deal with the problem and makes it worse in the long run.
