Is this PMR?
After 3 weeks on Pred I've just had my bloods done again and although ESR and CRP are now within normal levels I'm now having to take strong
antibiotics
as my white blood count is too high. Waiting for a appointment with the Rheumatologist but I have a long wait. Does this sound like PMR?

Long-term treatment with
antibiotics
can lead to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains. Moreover, antibiotic treatment can affect bacterial communities throughout the body, including that of the gut.

Recurrent chest infections
It's starting to impact on my quality of life as each infection floors me as I always end up on
antibiotics
and steroids. Trying to eat and sleep well but getting nowhere..

Hi everyone, I have a quick question, since GIs here can't help me, I have come here to ask for a piece of advice from you. My IBS symptoms come and go, I am constantly on pro/prebiotics, and my GI keeps on changing the supplements, but my symptoms flare up whenever I have a stress( I started to notice

Oral steroids
In both
antibiotics
and steroids they have nearly cleared me but not 100% so I'm asking is this normal and is it safe to be taking steroids 3 weeks after my last dose finished? My dose is 6 tablets a day for 10 days. I would appreciate any advice and help Jason

Which antibiotic to choose and tips...
I have IBS-D and recently have had amazing success using Xifaxan. It is the first thing that has worked to control my symptoms in 5+ years. Honestly, it's been life changing for me - I have been able to socialize with friends again and have even been able to enjoy a few foods that I never thought I'd

Feeling a little low
Admitted back a Day later with an infection and on IV
antibiotics
for 5 days and more scans all ok apart from extensive internal bruising. Sent home with
antibiotics
and hoped that would be it for hospital.

Are cleaning products, aerosols etc worsening my asthma?
Hi all,I'm on day 4 of prednisolone and
antibiotics
for a particularly nasty chest infection, (GP said sending me to hospital was borderline). 2nd course of pred this year and it's only May. Unusual for me as I often don't need any, or only one short blast, of pred in a year.

Antibiotics and embryo transfer
So today he prescribed me
antibiotics
- Amoxicillin to be precise. He said it is fine to take during pregnancy but I can't help wondering that this early on, could it affect implantation? I've already taken one dose of
antibiotics
this afternoon. Just don't want anything to risk it! đ

I am yet to speak to the GP regarding the results but I have a strong feeling he won't be prescribing me the
antibiotics
.. everytime I have mentioned SIBO to him he has dismissed it. Quote: 'it's just IBS'

Flash forward to now I am beginning to feel better I have just finished my
antibiotics
and I donât feel âpoorlyâ as such as in my chest and breathing feel better (I still have a cough as expected) but itâs like my body is way behind in terms of getting over this.

Have you been misdiagnosed? I might have been.
I have started on an intensive healing process of
antibiotics
and antifungalâs. My naturopath says I should be free of all Lyme symptoms in 4 to 6 months. Will all of my Parkinsonâs symptoms go away? Itâs certainly possible.

My PMR is basically gone, but now I got shingles on my right side of face.
All the drugs I took, take lowers my immune system. No prednisone anymore, but Methotrexate lowers immune response. About 4 days ago, got shingles on my face and forehead. It is super pain, bad pain. Before the shingles, I felt like my eyes were infected, eyes and skin all red and sore. Pain not quite

Palpitations at night
I've had 24 hour heart monitor and
antibiotics
but the doctor says my heart isn't irregular so couldn't be anything wrong there. During the day I've also been occasionally getting headaches, sharp pain in left side of chest and teeth pain.

Slow road to recovery.
now I know why I'm in so much pain.I was worried about getting a chest infection, my Consultant put me on full time
antibiotics
which I started the day before my fall & so far so good thankfully. đđ I'm seeing a Physiotherapist & doing the exercises, using my Nebulizer twice a day & using my Spirometer

Prednisolone
Hi Pnut, I was recently recovering from Covid which left me with a bad cough, and rather than
antibiotics
my GP prescribed Prednisolone and 5 day course of 6x5mg tablets once a day helped me almost immediately. I have had a similar dose in the past and it works great for me.
