impatiently waiting!
My husband and I are still awaiting his fsh, testosterone, cystic fibrosis and chromosomal blood test results to find out what’s potentially causing his lack of sperm. Then we’re going to go through ICSI, but of course in the hope they’re able to detect some sperm once they’ve extracted directly from

Systemic Inflammatory Syndrome (SIS) in Advanced Prostate Cancer
When I was first being diagnosed, my inital presentation was fever, night sweats, pain all over my body and high blood inflammation markers such as ESR. Because of these symptoms, the diagnosis of prostate cancer was delayed as we suspected other causes. When the symptoms started to appear, I was taking

Does PMR “cause” OA, etc.?
It seems so many PMR sufferers “finish their treatment” only to find that they now have other painful conditions like osteoarthritis that they “didn’t have” before being diagnosed with PMR. I fear I fit into this category. Since ending prednisone 3 1/2 months ago, I have had (non-symmetrical) shoulder

WHO Analgesic pain ladder
Hi, this is for one of the members, and anyone else interested in the World Health Organisation Analgesic 3- step pain ladder. This was developed in 1986 for pain management of cancer patients but is widely used today for general pain management. As you can see the lowest and mildest level are non-opiods

Intralipids prior to & during ivf?
Hi I'm currently on my 4th day of stims on my first IVF cycle. We're only doing egg collection this round because we're having them pgs tested. We'll take next cycle off too to detox from the stims. We then plan to do a FET the following cycle (late May). Been TTC since August 2017 and I've had two

Another day, another question...
Hi ladies So yesterday my AMH results came back as high (33.5). Today they have written to me and said that they would recommend doing a freeze all cycle as their research shows that fresh cycles with high AMH aren’t very successful. It seems a bit strange given that we haven’t even tried IVF yet and

AMH question
Hi ladies, hope you are all well. Quick question Just had AMH redone after 2 years. I was 29.5 then and it’s gone up to 33.5 (I’m now 36) 2 questions: Firstly how the blooming hell has it gone up, is it not supposed to go down? That’s what the nurse told me to expect. Second Is it a bad thing that

Desperate
I've had RLS for quite a few years but since my spinal surgery it's 24/7 instead of just at night, I can't sit and watch TV, I can't go to a movie, I can't ride in the car, and I can't enjoy life. I'm about ready to go out of my mind. After my surgery, part of my left leg is numb and I seem to get

Is it ok to say I hurt?
In the US it seems now if you tell your doctor your hurt you get a stanky face. Due to all the folks looking for drugs it makes it hard for others to get help. I have a very high pain tolerance so when I say I hurt it's gotten really bad. I'm in a bad spot in that. I have CKD a cant take NSAIDs and limited

Research on Ibuprofen and other NSAIDs
Hi https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25260945 Following a question raised earlier this week regarding possible problems associated with taking Ibuprofen (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and AFib, I came across a very interesting piece of research that can be accessed through the above link

Any Highly athletic folks here still able to continue their pursuits??
Been noticing that there appears to be quite an individual response to ADT...my biggest fear has to do with the loss of physical strength and stamina as the bulk of my life is about physical pursuits.... I've gone for 7 yrs untreated post RT and psa is not moving fast but the time will come when I will

How to start receive egg donor
Hi, quick story about me. Had both Fallopian tube removed, low AMH, went 2 ivf cycles with immature eggs. So now I am thinking to start using egg donor cause I can’t use mine, so I am asking if anyone here used any egg donor before? Any supplements should I take prior to egg donor transfer? Few months

New interesting therapy for ICSI/IVF
My greetings, forumers! A few days ago I've read somewhere an article about a new and unique method to get pregnant in your 40s with your own eggs. Unfortunately, it is not impossible for me as I use DE, but there are many of you whose OE are still alive and can be used. I hope this may help. I just

Improving chances for FET transfer over 40
Hi, I'm new to this forum and have been really moved by alot of the posts and the support voiced out there. I have huge respect for the grit and determination of so many amazing women! I'm 45 trying with FET. I did not meet my partner until I was 40, got pregnant naturally not long after, had a miscarriage

No embryos on first cycle - struggling to come to terms
My first IVF cycle 2 weeks ago resulted in only 3 eggs, despite having AMH of 14 and having max dosage of both Gonal F and Menopur. They decided on day to do icsi. Only 1 egg was mature, failed to fertilise. The other two matured over night and only 1 fertilised. The clinic doesn't transfer/freeze unless

Low AMH peeps and 2nd IVF cycle- how did results differ from first round?
Hi all, am considering our next options and wondering if your chances of success/ producing eggs are lower on second (or more) rounds of IVF if you have a low AMH? Am sort of worried that I may have used up eggs on my last round?! My AMH was 3.4. Also, should I have my AMH levels retested to see if

Osteitis pubis
Been having continuing groin pain even after my bladder infection cleared. CT scan didn't show anything that could be causing it, so into the tube for an MRI of my pelvis. Radiologist determined that I have osteitis pubis -- inflammation of and around the pubic symphysis of my pelvis. Anyone else
