Golf ball in rib cage left side post covid. Any ideas?
Ive taken
antacids
but they made no difference. I'm on lots of painkillers including naproxen but nothing is helping. I'm loathe to call 111 as I really don't want to spend the weekend at the hospital and I don't think it is an emergency. I have no symptoms that match with a heart attack.

Does anyone with celiac disease have the feeling of not emptying bowel stool?
Hi. It’s been 3 months since I started my GF diet, some symptoms improved but I started to pay more attention to my digestive issues, like checking my stool nonstop, every little gas or bubbling in my stomach make me worry. Although I’ve been having GI symptoms all my life, since I’ve had chronic gastrities

Natural remedies and food supplements
Some medicines can cause malabsorption e.g.
antacids
and magnesium can inhibit iron absorption. Some conditions can cause malabsorption e.g. any condition which limits the secretion of "intrinsic factor" in the stomach can cause B12 deficiency.

Assessment at the Royal Free, etc
At the start of this week my partner had his transplant assessment at the Royal Free. It was a really positive experience. Because we came from Bristol we stayed in the on-site hotel, which is great! There was a lot of waiting for tests and for the medics to be available. I couldn't stay on the unit

Update After 3 Cabazitaxel Treatments.
I am receiving chemotherapy every three weeks. I had my 3rd infusion on Thursday, November 4. The good news is that I have been tolerating Cabazitaxel much better than expected so far. I have been forcing myself to get on the elliptical machine in my house 3 to 5 times per week. The ignition is difficult

I need a rant!
(I now know, thanks to this forum, that that is almost certainly because I have low stomach acid and
antacids
can make this worse). During the phone call where the doc cheerfully told me I can't have an ultrasound he told me again - there is nothing wrong with your thyroid.

Doxycycline - any way we can take it?
I wondered if I could switch back to Omeprazole just to take them (I use H2 blockers currently) or if I could get by by patching judiciously with
antacids
in the timescales they allow. Anyway, if anyone has managed to use these, or knows for sure it's a really bad idea I'd like to hear from you.

Underdosed with Armour
I ended up using a significant amount of
antacids
(Rolaids) although always after dinner and hence never near my once daily am dose of thyroid, About three months ago my doctor prescribed Pepcid (an H2 blocker) for the GERD, which I suspect also may make my Armour harder to absorb.

What's next
What's next??? My husband had all the symptoms of meningitis, but I didn't know then that he had it. At first I thought it's just gastroenteritis, but he was ok for 3 days then he had fever again with cold hands and feet, chills and body aches and was moaning and kept turning on the bed. I brought him

Newbie Guidance Please
Hi everyone. Apologies in advance, but I have tried searching for the answers before posting but I got a little overwhelmed. I had a HA 9 days ago followed by 1 stent being fitted, with maybe another in the next couple of months. I have 3 areas I would value your guidance on: 1. Acid reflux discomfort

Antacid tablets controls Blood sugar - A Study
As per the recent study, Most commonly prescribed PPI's for Acid reflux / GERD/ Acidity such as Omeprazole, Pantoprazole , Lansoprazole......are found to be helpful in controlling Blood Sugar, though it does not prevent from the risk of diabetes.. This is only a initial study and so Please don't pop

All my tests come back negative
But prescribed
antacids
work. Undiagnosed coeliac? Undiagnosed. Gluten intolerant? Eat no gluten. Still in pain. Still feeling totally inflamed. Pain killers and rest. So no diagnosis to take to my employer. I really feel like joined-up thinking is needed. Sorry if I'm preaching to the choir.

Not Sure What Is Causing This
I have had excess stomach acid issues all my life. As a child I was diagnosed with acidosis. I couldn't eat anything fried or melted cheese or cooked tomatoes without being sick. As I got into my teens it seemed to mostly go away although in my late teens and early twenties the heartburn returned with

GERD And Acid Reflux And What We Can Do About It
For the school of thought that GERD can be caused by excess stomach acid,
antacids
such as proton pump inhibitors (PPI) like Prilosec, Nexium & Prevacid,
antacids
such as baking soda or Tums and histamine antagonists such as Cimetidine/Tagamet and Zantac which work as histamine receptor antagonists.

Hello again, anything about antacids?
Any
antacids
that would be okay? I’m already taking Zofran for nausea, but if it’s an ulcer I’m going to need an actual antacid.

Apixaban to Edoxaban.
I have been takin apixaban since early December 2020, and since the end of the year I have had almost constant indigestion (and gas). Antacid prescription meds haven't worked. I have been advised by a medical expert to change to Edoxaban as it's not loaded with lactose. Anyone else experience the same

Asthma & Acid Reflux
Hi all. I'm looking for some advice from those suffering from asthma and GERD/ acid reflux. My asthma has been difficult to control the past few months and I've had a continuous crackle in my chest at night, along with post nasal drip, and chest and stomach pain. A chest Xray was clear, and after posting
