Levothyroxine and antacids???? Awful sour/bitter taste in mouth/on tongue.......
Hi I am on 50mg of Levothyroxine daily since October. My levels are steady BUT I have an awful taste in my mouth almost constantly. It is a sour/bitter taste and I wondered if it could be some kind of acid reflux?? This is the only symptom however..... I've had the taste for about a month. I went to

Can anyone tell me if bile is the same as stomach acid?
I was diagnosed with PBC just under 12 months ago and still feel very confused about the whole thing. I do have other health problems which include excess stomach acid, reflux and a hiatus hernia. I thought that PBC would reduce the bile getting through to the stomach, however slightly, so why do I

One, two, three *hurp* four, five, six *gag*...
I saw my GP this morning, who suggested I try increasing the dose of
antacids
(Zantac) I take for my reflux, in case that's irritating my throat overnight, so we'll see how that goes, but I just wondered if anybody else had experienced a similar problem and if you found any solutions?

Not being taken seriously
I left with a prescription for
antacids
and feeling completely ignored. I am only 32. I have a four year old, and I can't do anything physical with him. It hurts to climb, I have a terrible attention span, I get tired easily, and can't get up off the floor on my own.

Brain Fog
Some other drugs which can induce brain fog are H2-receptor antagonists, commonly known as
antacids
. These are often prescribed quite casually. Included in this group are names which may be familiar: Ranitidine, Cimetidine, Famotidine and Nizatidine.

Hello All - I'm in the UK, & I was diagnosed with PV last August, but suspect I've had it for some years.
I have very few symptoms, but do need to take blood pressure meds, and
antacids
every day.I'm sure I read on here a while back that as this is considered to be a cancer, we are entitled to free prescriptions - or am I going mad?

The doctor's indication on my Plaquenil packet does say not to take
antacids
for 2 hours within taking Plaquenil but I didn't realise that calcium tablets have a similar effect.
