How long did it take for your HRT estrogen patch to take away your hot flashes?
I have been taking the estrogen patch for about 2 and a half weeks now-(generic Estradiol 0.075mg) and I have not gotten any relief in my hot flashes....My story is more complicated in that I am making absolutely NO estrogen due to years of
anorexia
making my pituitary gland not produce estrogen.

Has anyone here gotten weight restored on their own without going to a nutritionist or eating disorder center?
I have
anorexia
nervosa and I have been to several treatment centers and seen several nutritionists in my life. They have never helped me as far as yes they help me gain the weight but then I don't end up getting my mind changed any even with all the psychotherapy so it ends up doing me no good.

Any hot flash relief from anything? I'm dying here and I don't know what to try next...
I went to the gyno recently and she said that I have zero estrogen due to having
anorexia
for 27 years and so I have what's called hypothalamic amenorrhea because my pituitary gland won't turn on the estrogen due to the fact that I am not menstruating or at a good enough weight.

I also have had issues to varying degrees with an eating disorder since I was 13 (I’m 41 now) I had
anorexia
, and wouldn’t like the idea of food in my system so I would manually evacuate (with medical gloves) to check I was empty.

Anxiety
And in currently recovering from
anorexia
. I've been prescribed 10mg of Celexa which has actually been helpful. Only been on it for a little over 2 weeks now. Only side effects i have are heart palpitations here and there. The other day i had probably the worst panic attack i Think i ever had.

Relapse
I recently relapsed into
anorexia
after several months of healthy eating. I’m hiding it from my family because I don’t want the attention. At the same time I do, I want help. Trapped.

Love me no matter how big my butt is.
I have struggled with
anorexia
and bulemia since high school through my 40's. Another boyfriend ate a lot of food, food I had been avoiding for years like pizza, cheesy enchiladas, I indulged. I gained 10 lbs, taking me from a small to a medium. He told me "I was too fat to f*ck."

downhearted 😂
I did have
anorexia
for ten years when I was younger. I have always had a heart healthy diet since ‘recovery’ from that. Sound a right bundle of laughs, don’tI? Anyway, I am trying to be brave and am on several meds.

Xolair! Excellent News!
Unfortunately, did find out that the long term Prednisolone (and Gastroparesis +
Anorexia
) led to osteoporosis/osteopnia, so that's a bit of a bummer. But all in all, I'm doing well (aside from this small flare I'm currently in lol). Hope everyone is doing well.

Hence my chronic pain and now
anorexia
! I don’t mean painful periods, never had one in my life, I mean chronic unrelenting pain, passing blood clots from kidney, bowel obstructions ect… Anyway, I have had 6 tubes of blood taken from me! I look like a cancer patient!

Vagal/Sympathetic Cascade a homegrown theory
Even before I had my first episode of AF in 2011 I used to have a couple of days experiencing nausea,
anorexia
, chest ache abdominal discomfort even pain and a 'wiped out" feeling . It was investigated more than once and nothing found.I put it down to "nerves".

New here- Living in a larger body with anorexia and chronic illness
I use it as a neutral descriptor) and have struggled with
anorexia
for the past 20 years. I was prescribed dieting starting at the age of 10 (although my food was already being restricted by age 7 by my family). I started my recovery about 5 years ago.

Telling People Re Anorexia History
Hi Everyone, So, I don't know why but my history with AN has been playing on my mind a lot recently and it is really getting to me. It has taken up so much of my life and while I am in a much better place with it than during my 20s, some of the thoughts are still there and I get flashbacks a lot. I
