We are so excited to tell you that we are re-launching our popular "Managing Stress and Uncertainty" twelve-week course under the umbrella of the Aplastic Anaemia Trust (AAT) in conjunction with Maggie's in January 2023.
If you're living with aplastic anaemia, whether you have aplastic anaemia yourself or you're supporting a close family member, you will likely be dealing with a lot of stress and uncertainty. This course is designed to help you to deal with the emotional burden of living with aplastic anaemia, whether you're in current treatment, on watch and wait, or finding it difficult to return to "normal life".
What does it involve?
This course will help you learn techniques to help you face the challenges of living with aplastic anaemia. There are six weeks of learning sessions, followed by six weeks of supported sessions where you and encouraged to try out the techniques you have learned in your day-to-day life. The course uses ACT, an evidence-based therapeutic approach, that people say makes immediate sense. The strategies are straightforward and easy to build into your day.
Topics include understanding stress and uncertainty, learning how to respond to difficult thoughts and emotions, how to use everyday mindfulness, and how to live life in the way that matters to you despite. stress and uncertainty.

Online via Zoom - simply sign up via the link below and we will send you the link to join each meeting. Once you've registered we will also add you to a WhatsApp group for further information.

About Lorena Tussis
Lorena is a dedicated qualified Clinical Psychologist currently working for Maggie's in West London.
Lorena supports people in managing feelings such as worry, sadness, distress and grief. Lorena has experience working with different health conditions such as diabetes, anorexia and cancer, working with individuals, couples and families.
Through her experience in delivering group therapy and workshops Lorena supports people in widening their coping skills with stress, trauma and mood. Lorena tailors therapy to people's individual needs and preferences.
