I had heart attack in 2010 aged 49 due to a blood clot and i had a stent fitted and in 2011 i had a balloon angioplasty on another artery. Iam taking statin, asprin, perindopril and bisoprolol.
Month ago i started having discomfort and tightness feeling in chest and after a couple of vists to A& E, i had a balloon angioplasty on the old stent. It has been now 3 weeks and i am still getting tightness in the chest when walking about the house. i have been back to A & E twice and all tests are ok, i am taking all the tablets as required including isosobride monoitrate90 mg.and prasugrel, i am waiting to be called by the cardiologist in about 4 weeks. I want to return to week but at the moment it doesnt look good. Any ideas

Good - stress to them that you are very anxious about this and need to be seen as soon as possible as you’re worried about your heart coming as it does so soon after angioplasty . Dont be put off. It probably is all perfectly fine but if it does worry you always tell them . Good luck
omeprazole is usually prescribed te prevent aspirin from causing damage to your stomach, but it also depends on the type of aspirin you take as well as how and when yo take it
if you take enteric coated aspirin omeprazole is often not necessary, also taking aspirin with a meal reduces the risk of stomach damage
hi, spoke to nurse yesterday and she asked me to ring cardio secertary to fast track appointment. secertary was surprised and said they cant fast track appointments and would have to wait another 4 weeks or so. if i am having pain or tightness to go to a & e. the only thing she can do is to arrange a face to face appointment rather than a phone call from cardiologist
