this is becoming more regular when I’m sleeping. Once it happens I’m awake then most of the night. I’m trying to find what may trigger it. Any suggestions to help me through an attack? My cardiologist says my heart is fine since an angioplasty procedure in November but AF seems more regular now than before I had it done.

living with AF
It wakes me up. This was diagnosed by my cardiologist in March
HiGosh it's annoying isn't it.mine wake me up at night too at least twice a week.i just get up and prop myself up with pillows on the couch so I sort of fall asleep sitting up right.also I take my beta blockers at night which usually helps a bit.im a100% in af.glad your procedure went well.
I get a lot of AF in the night, usually around 2am. I've never found a reason for this, but am waiting for an ablation to help sort it. Oddly, I was given some advice by a respiratory physio that does seem to help. If my AF wakes me, I lie on my back, raise my arms above my head and breath with my abdomen rather than chest and it always seems to calm things down. No idea why, but it allows me to get back to sleep. It's worth a try.
