Hi just been for my pre assessment and procedure booked for mid February. Have now been told to take a loading dose of Cloprodgil sorry about spelling a week before procedure so on first day six tablets all at once followed by one a day for following week. Anyone done this and any side effects. Many thanks.

Clopdigrel is an antiplatelet which helps prevent blood clots. The most obvious side effect for many people is the tendency to bruise more readily and for small cuts and abrasions to bleed for longer. Otherwise look up the list of side effects that will be on the patient information sheet that will have been with your medication.

are you completely sure that it’s six tablets on one day ? This seems a lot.

No typo error loading dose four tablets followed by one a day. So not looking forward to this for some reason feel anxious about it all yet have had much bigger ops including spinal fusion etc. Thanks for your reply

Yes, I took 6 on the day. No side effects. Now I take 1 a day for a year. Nearly finished!

Hi,I was in hopsital at the time but yes I had a loading dose of clopidogrel 75mg tablets. The dose was the standard loading dose of 300mg (so 4 x75mg tablets). I didn't experience any side effects whatsoever :)
