Help understanding B12 deficiency
I have been advised to ask about Pernicious
Anaemia
and ask people who know. I have also been suggested to stop taking my B12 for five months to confirm. I just wanted to ask if I could increase my B12 and it eventually looks good in range would there be any need to get a diagnosis/ treatment?

Thyroid test results received, further advice would be gratefully received!
Following my initial post a few weeks ago and all the helpful responses I received, I’ve now got my FT3 and FT4 thyroid test results from Monitor My Health and would appreciate further advice. Bloods were taken 7.30am on an empty stomach and before taking Levo. Should I be reassured that the levels

Dementia meds and levo
Hi, my friends mum has been recently diagnosed with dementia and is now taking donepezil 10mg . She has been taking Ezetimibe for cholesterol and levo at 75mcg for years and always took her levo over an hour before breakfast. At the dementia clinic they told her to take all 3 with breakfast, obviously

Does anyone take supplements as well as B12 injections ?
Hi Everyone My doctors have started me on B12 injections and I’ve had 2 loading doses out of the 6 so far . I’m wondering if people still take their B complex supplements on top of the injections so you get all the B vits still ? And if so what strength? I’m feeling very tired today after my second

Any help please! Are my ferritin, folate and Vit B12 on the low side, and do I need to supplement?
Hi... I've just had my ferritin, folate & B12 bloods done as I'm trying to determine the possible cause of my hair thinning, and whether I'm absorbing these vitamins optimally. My GP claims everything is normal and nothing to be concerned about, but I'm not sure if the levels are optimum. I am hypo

Blood results
Hi all, Thanks to everyone who commented on my recent question about b12. I do have results from bloods now. Just putting them up incase it offers any further insight 🤷 I have also posted in thyroid group relating to thyroid. My worry is PA is so hard to confirm- maybe I should just start supplementing

First bloods for a long while...
Hi all, Any thoughts on my recent bloods before I start supplementing. I do have FBC results too if relevant. TSH 1.94 (0.35-4.94mu/L) Folate 5.9 (2.7-15ug/L) Serum B12 186 (187-883ng/L) Ferritin 43 (23-300ug/L) Vit D 28 (50-120nmol/L) Unfortunately, I think I've taken my eye off the ball this last couple

Liver enzyme question.
I know there are lots of posts about the alt/ast ratio. I have spent more time than I care to admit reading about that damn ratio! I just wondered if anyone had any experience or educated opinions on an inverted ratio alongside low alk phos levels? I recently had bloodwork done and my AST was 21, ALT

Blood results & what do I tell my doctor?
Hi everyone. I've finally got some blood results that look more promising in terms of the fT3 and fT4 being in a better place through the range. The difference being I increased from 25mcg lio to 30mcg lio and take them a 3 x 10mcg at 6/7am, 2pm and 9pm. I feel this works quite well for me, its easy

Normal blood levels mean anything?
I generally have normal b12 levels in the 500-600 range but have symptoms that mimic b12 deficiency. Sometimes my folate levels are low and I supplement there but was wondering if b12 injections are the next step. My doctor did a parietal cell antibody test and that was high at 30 but mma was below

Anemia and Red Blood Shapes Results - Do They Mean Anything
Hi! I have had anemia for some time and take iron pills that keep what the doctors call stable anemia. My recent blood work had these other results that I have never had before. I realize that they relate to abnormal shapes of the red blood cells. I am just wondering if they matter. I did a little research
