I have just started on exemestane for breast cancer. Looks like I'm going to be offered a bisphosphonate due to already having osteoporosis. Been on this before it gave me terrible indigestion so came off. Diagnosed 2 years ago with pernicious anaemia so would like to know if I can take regular omprezole if I get the same problem. I have my b12 injections 3 monthly.
Thank you.

I take a glass of apple cider vinegar diluted in water before my main meal. I started off with a teaspoonful of the vinegar but now take a tablespoon... I actually like the taste now! The vinegar must contain 'the mother' which is the beneficial bacteria for gut healing. Lots of info online re the benefits of this. As beginner1 said, low stomach acid can be a cause of b12d. I also take probiotics.
Omeprazole is a ppi so does cause b12 problems if taken long term as it blocks acid production which is needed to separate b12 from food. But most importantly during your breast cancer treatment, before you take anything new, check with your oncologist first incase anything you take interacts with your cancer medications.
